They are social, but they are also territorial so sometimes it’s easier Just keeping one dependent on tank size. They’re not a schooling Fish but they do like to interact with each other if that makes sense.
@@paulstingray The biggest tank I can get is 20 gallons long as a temporary tank until I save up for a bigger one (I’m a minor and I doubt my parents would help me get a bigger one right now, I do have a job though so I’ll definitely be saving up) so that’s why I was thinking of getting just one, would that be an okay size?
Saw them in the shop last weekend, very cool!
Yup they are super fun to keep!
Zen Ginger channel has a most excellent video on setting up a more permanent mudskipper tank.
I’ll have to check it out
Wow,these look awesome,I had heard about it,but never saw one

That scape looks great, did you add the moss or did it just grow by itself? If you added it what type is it?
It’s a few different types of algae that just naturally grows in brackish water
Cute

Where to find and buy some. Also if it can be ship to your house.
Find mudskippers?
Most aquarium shops can stock them
Some deliver
Do I need to keep them in a group or can I get just one?

@@Yukisadventureteam That size would be fine for one mudskipper for a year or so.
Can you get the sponge used from Bunnings?
I’ve never seen it there but any pond sponge would work if you can find it in different shapes and sizes
What is the best shop to find it?
@Crylozilla2011 aquarium shops/ pond shops

Mostly looks good hit one thing is missing: the mud. Mudskippers really do need mud to do well long term, and to show their natural behaviour.
Ideally a tidal Paludarium with mudflats in a 6 foot setup would be perfect for a Group.
I believe sand is not good for mudskippers, it can irritate their skin
They live on sand in the wild.
