Thank you so much man. My processes for production have changed quite drastically recently. I happy with where the channel is now!! I wonder if you got an m5c 👀
I've been wanting an M5 since they first came out and today I got the opportunity to get an M5C for free, so I jumped on it and should receive it on Saturday. At first I was unsure about the lack of a screen and onboard controls, but I have an old Android phone that I can dedicate to it, so that's not such an issue. Overall, it looks like they didn't leave out anything I particularly care about, so I'm really looking forward to some high-speed printing this weekend!
I’m guessing you would still take the M5 over the 5C if price wasn’t an issue? I just ordered both because the M5 refurbished in excellent condition is only $360 in amazon rn
Thanks for the kind words! I think it's great to be able to print a full sized helmet, but I do wonder what the percentage of people that print full sized helmets is. I can't even print a full sized helmet on my x1c
@@ThePrintHouse agreed on the percentages... but the helmet was just an example. I have a 300x300x320 Neo Max and I like to load up the plate before I print. The problem... it is slower than molasses. :)
@@graphguy My commentary was about the requirement to install an App. I have an older iPhone 6s and some of the newer Apps require a newer Operating System on the phone which older phones can't install meaning the App can't be loaded. So, this printer without the touch screen is a negative for me. Another thing I will comment about is your loading up the build plate. I typically don't do this, not at all saying that you shouldn't. The reason I don't do it is if you load up, example, 5 parts and 1 part fails, you would either need to stop the print or let it keep going printing spaghetti where the failed print is which might screw up the other parts as well. My solution was to buy multiple printers, I have 10, and I run only one part on each machine. That actually speeds up the print time as well. I know many people won't buy multiple printers due to cost and space. I did not buy new printers as I am really a DIY guy so I bought 7 of the 10 on eBay that were "as is, for parts only" and I fixed them.
Hey ! Just got my m5 couple days ago and do you leave this machine on 24/7 so you can print from anywhere ? And also I notice my m5 like slowly spews a stream of film when it is warming up/ homing before starting a print. Is that normal ?
Good video! Can you print from USB using the app without being connected to the internet? I'm into home automation, and there have been issues with companies going out of business, then your stuff stops working. Not that I expect anker to, I just have a bias against "cloud stuff".
Daddy give me the potato chips now plz lol...Does it need network connection to print.. my concern is print privacy for my custom designs and prototypes
@@monsterstorm78 It is as loud as most high speed printers, but at idle it is dead silent. I actually have the fan volumes in this video I believe. If they are not in this video, check out my channel and look for my other M5 video. They should be in that video if not this one :)
BUT, some of us have older phones. For example I have an iPhone 6s. I drive an electric car, BMW i3 and the BMW App can't load on my phone as I would have to load a newer operating system to run the App on my phone that can't install the newer OS. So, I am always hesitant to buy products that require loading an App. So, loosing the touch screen is a negative for me.
Awesome video. Great editing on this. Looks like a nice machine at the price point.

this is actually a pretty good printer! Nice video!
Thank you!! Yeah I'm really loving this printer!!

I have faith you're gonna love it! How did you get it for free???!!
Git me the pistachio clips, cow! My M5C is arriving at my house in about 2 hours. I’m feeling a cold coming on, gonna have to leave work early today….
I would recommend you take a sick day ;)
Great video....is it possible to calibrate the M5C stepper motors? If so, how?
Which do you think is better this or the Bambu A1?

Jer-bear, whats with the kitchen knife😂
Im always using kitchen knives because theyre quickest to get to. Ill just sharpen them eventually lol
@@ThePrintHouse dawg, get a 4pk of snap razors. You'll need to clean supports one of these days 🤣
what is that big boat with the scall on it it rocks!!!!
oops i meant scull...lol
Give me the potato chips now!
Ill keep em coming!
Can you do a printer race?
The M5 vs M5C?
Yes please.btw did the stl work for you?
Great vid,
The only issue I see is too small. The gold standard is to be able to print in place a full size helmet. You can't do that here.

Can the m5 use the new app features too?

Sadly you cannot

I'm not sure. That's a good thought. I'll have to check. I know the printer DOES have Bluetooth, so maybe!
You can
