Ant: asks the right questions and allows Greg to open up on some new and interesting behind the scene stories Greg the Opsters 'been doing it since he was eighteen' Hughes: stop talking we need to listen to this 2 minute trailer clip. Of... is it...The Room, right?
It's incredibly watchable, isn't it? In a way, I feel bad for Tommy Wiseau. I get the impression that Tommy created the personal life he always wanted in this movie; someone well loved but taken advantage of. It makes it very tough to laugh AT him. It's actually very sad. And I write that with no perverse joy whatsoever.
The draw of it is that it’s doubtful anyone else could intentionally make a movie that bad. There are great B movies that are terrible on purpose but the room is another animal entirely.
damn, for a couple of days i wanted to re-listen this interview, but always kept on forgetting as pests put so much old O&A clips lately and i always get carried away. and today i decide to check my man's Richard Hatred's channel and what do i see - his latest video is the one i wanted so much. thank you, sir! i loved this interview. Greg's impersonation of Tommy is amazing. great storyteller. and i always had the feeling that Opie thought its gonna be bad interview, so he tried to do some shit, but realized that Ant really enjoyed talking to Sestero.
One thing I'm surprised I don't hear people talking about more with Tommy is how he basically has his eyes closed half the time. Haha. When other characters are talking, he basically looks dead.
^this. The audiobook with Sestero doing all the Tommy parts in an ace Tommy impression is legitimately among my all time favourite pieces of media. It's an incredibly entertaining listen.
17:20 ...What? It really was supposed to be a comedy? That makes me think the whole 'Disaster Artist' is bs, if the trailer calls The Room a joke from the getgo...
I just now wonder about that because it's just so unbelievably awful. It's impossible to believe a man dumping millions into a project could be so blind and stupid. They probably wanted to make a Rocky Horror/Ed Wood type of bad movie. And to sell the Disaster Artist book and now movie, they have to say he thought it was a serious dramatic work of art at first. But there's just no way he could be that insanely out-of-touch with reality. Tommy is crazy like a fox. He knows exactly what he's doing. He's a hustler.
I talked to him last month for almost ten minutes and I was expecting him to start talking about aliens conspiracies but, actually, we had a pretty ordinary conversation. It is true that he has created a persona when he answers questions in interviews and QnAs, but I also think that a bit out-of-touch with reality.
So glad Anthony got to do this interview before he was booted.
Opie did some great prep by not reading the book or even watching the movie.
AmountStax hes a pro right?
@@synthWizkid Since he was 18!
Well it kept him from talking so that was positive!
Dude seriously! 💀
@@davidjkus couldn’t even get his name pronounced correctly
Opie is still establishing what movie they're talking about 20 minutes in. he's the tommy wissau of radio
Like listeners were always able to listen to the whole show
@@chrisaltobelli stop, i work in radio - you don't need to beat them over the head with it.
Mark Williams
Since you were 18 I hope. Otherwise your radio experience and opinion are invalidated.
Oh my God, enough with the Opie shit. If any of you dudes ever said anything even remotely funny it would be worth it.
@@advancedraymondology2914 He's ruined so much radio, that it bears repeating forever. He fucking stinks.
When I have a kid, I'm gonna put this movie on when they're a child, and ingrain it in their brain as their favorite childhood movie.
Or else scar them forever. Either way, good idea!
David Vaughan psychological torture imprinting.....finally sir, you have given me a reason to have a child
You're an evil man David
@Ronnie Hill It's the ultimate challenge when you think about it. The closest you can get to fighting yourself. Respect ✊
Maybe first you should have your parents train you on spelling and grammar. Your future kid won’t do well in life as a sociopath otherwise.
Good thing Opie kept asking questions that had already been answered.

This is one of Ant’s last shows and it was great!
RIP O&A (1994-2014) 😢
I've seen The Room 5 times and it never gets old, just more confusing.

I was resisting watching this movie because I saw all the clips already, but boy did it not disappoint even then
Ayy Lmao If you enjoyed this you should also check out Gymkata, there are clips of it here on youtube.
You need to watch the room with the rifftrax
Glad someone reuploaded this
Greg is a great interviewee.
He’s absolutely hilarious
And the other Greg is a terrible interviewer
I could not recommend Sestero's book "disaster artist" too much. total insanity.Movie adaption was good as well.
Actually met Greg last year at a Drive In for the 20 year screening of The Room. Really nice guy and just has a good sense of humor about everything.
I love that they were nice to this guy, he actually seems pretty cool. I fell in love with The Room because of OandA
Cheers for uploading this m8, I've heard it before but couldn't find it a couple of weeks ago, must've got taken down.
Eggshell Opie!
It was a Greggshell
What's up with Mopie Opie in this clip?
@The White Black Frank White He's such a sistero
He had a heavier flow.
Tommy Wiseau is the shitposter extraordinaire of cinema.
Funniest shitty movie on film EVER!
If u wanna laugh non-stop for an hr and a half, u gotta watch it.
It almost feels like watching a bad movie you and your friends made with a camcorder, and that's what makes it so delightful to me.
So the phone operator did ZERO research.

Hell yeah Richard!
Wiseau claims that he spent $6 MILLION producing The Room!! 😂😂😂
I heard he spent close to 5 million buying the camera alone lol
Yeah, I think most of the budget was spent on the cameras and set. He bought both film and HD... for NO REASON 😂😂😂
Visually, Tommy reminds me of a Gene Simmons-Furio Giunta hybrid.
One thing I'm surprised I don't hear people talking about more with Tommy is how he basically has his eyes closed half the time. Haha. When other characters are talking, he basically looks dead.
18:12 "I have greggshell in my throat"
Where the hell is Steve from Yellowstone?
"What a story Mark." 😅
Anyone got the time stamp for Steve from Yellowstone call?
The book is much better than the James Franco movie by the way.

when i have a kid im gonna tell them Tommy Wiseau is johnny depp
So did tommy direct it or sandy?

The Disaster artist movie, James Franco is great. His brother Dave is fucking terrible. Basically ruins the movie.
Why not just watch The Room?
@@theoriginaltommysteward read the disaster artist. 4 stars.

Mick Obrien The "black comedy" part was actually added after the premiere of the movie.
Fine. But they've been going with the 'comedy' angle almost from the start.
Tommy labeled it as a drama but he quickly realised that people were making fun of it and called it a comedy.
