I'm a red-blooded democrat who voted for Biden because the democratic party couldn't pick a better candidate. I'm all for democracy, but the democratic party can't move into this election thinking this is the honest and good loving nation it once was.

Yeah I agree - policies are more important than how well you do in a debate... but it's not people like me that need convincing. It's the great majority of politically uninterested people and Biden is a huge liability on that front. If his age just meant he can't jump up the steps of Air Force One - I would say "Yes! Go Biden!" - but it's not about that. It's about the polls. Even when Trump is a convicted felon (!!) Biden is lagging behind and it is because of his age. He needs to go for the wellbeing of the world, so Democrats can win and defeat Trump again - because democracy actually is on the fucking line - he needs to appoint Kamala Harris as his replacement and just help there instead.
