- On the 17th of May 2023, after 10 years of service, the Mineplex server took its last breath, and shut down. Leaving the lobbies that were once bursting with players desolate, a faded memory of what once was. Can Mineplex Be Saved? Today we talk about Mineplex's history, what went wrong, and whether this is the END of Mineplex..

Ik how hard it was to make this video, but a creator and former mineplex mod, Samito, already bought the server, and is planning to make some big changes back to the server, the server died for about a week or so, idk, and it got instantly boughten, and the servers are shortly going to be back up again

Omg this editing is INSANE! I miss Mineplex and may it RIP. I used to get home and always play on this server so to see it go is heartbreaking. But that’s what life is, you just need to move on. I remember watching PrestonPlayz play micro battles on Mineplex and I thought it was such a cool gamemode. Survival games and Micro Battles were easily my 2 favorite gamemodes, but there were so many great ones (Super Smash Mobs, Bridges, Skywars, even the hub parkour)! I remember buying like 2 or 3 ranks just so I could get the most weekly/monthly rewards. As far as childhood Minecraft memories go, Mineplex is probably my #1.

They had my favorite mini game ever called sky fall. It was an elytra pvp game that was only around for like a year but still that was such a unique game mode.
Old Mineplex 2014-2016 when i played was the best thing ever and i actually lover survival games and bridges! Plus i actually liked new game mode wizards that most people didnt

I used to play on mineplex so much on bedrock back then along with cubecraft. But I got Java not even a month ago and this makes me sad because I enjoyed destroying everyone every time I played in cakewars and skywars but I’m sad as soon as I switch I hear the sad news 😔 RIP Mineplex

A few missed points, Mineplex's staff on its spiraling downfall was riddled with hackers and corrupted Moderators, you would see high leveled players hacking get reported, banned, then back within a day all because they're friends with some of the moderators. Also Mineplex never Perma ban hackers only suspended for like an X amount of days (i forget if its 70-100). For the bad coding and development i dont blame the devs, it was the lack of budget they had at the time that kept decreasing every since which lead to mineplex making higher ranks that u can get with $100 bucks.
The 17 people who like 1.8 combat were also the 17 people still active on minplex before it shut down.
Pretty sure Hypixel would like to say something about that. Even if Hypixel's popularity is degrading it's still by far the most popular Minecraft server.

I hope mineplex gains it a player count similar to hypixel because mineplex had mini games I loved more than hypixel which are super smash mobs, survival games, and dragon escape

I miss the old inpvp lobbies and their games now it’s boring nothing to do in that server anymore they should bring back their games back
more people are using cracked minecraft accounts and they can't play maybe that is the reason
yes but going cracked would likely lose them their Microsoft partnership which means losing a large amount of bedrock players because they wouldnt be in the featured servers
