MAJEK REMAINS A MASTER CRAFTMAN! Majek infused the TALKING DRUM profusely into his music which Fela never did. The talking drum is one of Africa's most original instruments and Fela did not use it. It's notes could not be written down. That is understandable as Fela was such a precise perfectionist. FASHEK STILL HAS THE MAGIC. THIS IS A FIVE STAR TRACK!! Can't stop playing it.

Jamaican reggae will never receive its true raspect, so most of us knew that you'd be better off being a white "reggae" band from England or America if you wanted success. But then Lucky Dube, Majek Fashek, and to a lesser extent, Alpha Blondy started making their marks in the late 1980s/early 1990s. I figured Majek would have the most staying power.
