Point by point: (I am reading this in November alongside Hyperion and EoS 🤪) 1. Love first person; Love present tense 2. Love all kinds of prose 3. Don't mind simple dialogue 4. Love social commentary 5. Fine with soft or hard scifi 6. Aliens or no 🤷♀️ 7. Give me gladiators! 8. YA 🤷♀️ 9. Huge fan of Marc Tufo 😉 10. I don't like red but I'll survive 😉🤪❤ Fun video 🎉😅
I know a lot of folks are a little iffy on book one of RR but I still had a great time! Action, interesting plot, characters you love and despise, and more! 🤣
I've read the first one so far and really enjoyed it. It's a completely different feel than Suneater and I agree with Mike that they aren't really comparable in a lot of ways. It dives into the muck of things, so if you don't like getting down and dirty with descriptions, this book may not be for you.
Just a minority view here. There are some people, indeed hopefully a great many people, to whom the word/letter I is the most sacred word in human language. There, I said it.
DONT read if you want to be consistently entertained at a fast pace either. 😂 nice vid

I'm excited for your November 😂 Sounds like a freaking blast TBH
@@BiblioTheory 🙌🏻
Really excellent books! That first one did put me in mind of Hunger Games, but far, *far* better.

@@BiblioTheory for sure, I absolutely ate it up, and went on to devour the next two as well! Superb books!

Totally agree! Sun Eater and Red Rising might be both sci-fi and have some Roman influences but... anything more than that? IDK 😂😂
I read the first 3 books, and it just wasn't for me. I will persevere and read Iron Gold sometime before the end of the year though.
1st person, present tense is a tough sell
I'll take reason 10. You're welcome 😂 I wasn't totally sure if you were gonna actually do my joke 🤣
