I lived in Aliquippa for over 20yrs , it's a shame that the only thing they have to look forward is footballs . It's a great thing for them to have but they need so much more there .. The kids have no place really to play and be kids .. There was a playground down from where I lived off of Irwin Street .. It's was not much old runned down .. my home owners insurance went from around $600.00 a year to almost $1,000.00 a year .. When I asked my insurance why they said crime rate reports .. I had a beautiful home , great neighbors.. but the crime is out of control .. Sad because it really could be a beautiful place again . They do have one of the best Football teams .. I would go watch them play .. I pray that they get this town up and running again and give jobs to people ..

Don't get it confused Tim..U know where he's from,just like u know where Rushell Shell's family is from,just like u know where cradale Kimbrough family is from..Chico Williams,I'll give u Paul & Stan Poulunzy?..terrific athletes..I understand where they played,Dorsett etc..but this about where that "talent" is from..Hawk is my first cousin..Davis,Dorsett,&Hortens make up my Granny side.. family reunions &all..they grew up on Griffith St..and also later lived in Mount Vernon..which is in Quip..it's just on the Hopewell side..and frfr Quip in the late 60s early 70s was ah turbulent time in football..going 2 school in general..so it worked out.. y'all got that Hall Fame co signed cookie cutter stadium..no pun..In all respects tho Hopewell has had some great athletes..not to mention Baseball Teams..let's jus say if the merger ever happened.. can u say "POWER HOUSE"!!
