@@user-vq4vr6rz2c Talking about "do your research" but then saying "X does not use intelligence" lmao. Of course sociopath uses intelligence, it's just that sociopaths often suffer from huge emotional outbursts that lead them to neglecting said intelligence or doing things that are counter intuitive or self destructive. Sure, they're two different things, but mostly by the fact that Psychopath is born and Sociopath is made, and that 1% of USA male population is psychopathic while 4% being sociopathic (there hasn't been enough surveys and studies on both female gender and other countries).
Oh, and by the way, the main villain could be hardly classified as either, and the title is obviously a clickbait. Not every character that is capable of killing people and/or making elaborate schemes is suddenly a psychopath or a sociopath. Hell, by the end of the movie you could even classify his actions as noble, or at least the end goal being noble, considering the dude is trying to unravel literal thousands of years of gaslighting. With just a little framing, he could've been even a protagonist.

Yes. I hadn't seen Unbreakable in years by the time I saw Split but when I heard that music playing in the diner, I was like "is this a sequel to Unbreakable?" Then appears David giving the waitress Mr Glass name. Great twist from M Night Shyamalan. Normally you would expect the twist to be about a story element in the movie. This twist was to let us know this was the continuation of a larger story.

In Unbreakable we see how desperate Elijah became when trying to prove he must have an opposite that the lives he took were just a means to an end. I wouldn’t say underrated. Unbreakable was M Night Shamalan’s second biggest film. It had lotsa hype. I loved how it was just a little past ordinary Homo sapien. Like no flying or laser eyes or shit that is impossible.
I want a more realistic version of superheroes. And a logical explanation.
The Boyz did okay with the pill being the reason or the chemical treatment. That’s at least some sort of explanation.
But how does that chemical make people acquire impossible powers? Flying, super strength, laser eyes, durability, mind control, etc.

No one remembers the bad films that came out in the past, but there is one difference between good movies made in the past and good films being made today. There are plenty of really good films being made today, many as good as these, but films that aren’t intended as blockbusters don’t get a lot of promotion and marketing. A lot of excellent films flop simply because people don’t know about them. Also places like UA-cam aren’t any help because channels get more views talking about bad and disappointing franchises than good movies.
Lastly is simply audience tastes. If really well made films made as much in theaters as poorly written popcorns movies, we’d have a lot more good films being produced.

The ego/personality is an amalgamation of archetypal psychological energies. The Greeks called them "gods" because these patterns of behavior show up in different degrees in all humans and they never die. When people say that the "ego is an illusion" they're saying that the personality is indeed a collection of archetypes and the personality is an emergent property of the interaction between archetypes. Multiple personality is a condition where a person completely identifies with more than one archetype. The ego, being the only conscious archetype, is usually tasked with keeping the lesser archetypes unconscious. The four main archetypes, called the "Quaternity" by C.G. Jung, are Being, Doing, Thinking, and Feeling, which mythologically corresponds to the King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover. If the ego is sufficiently weak or "broken", other archetypes can "take over".

      Makes perfect sense.
It’s why when people experience intense trauma and cannot fully integrate these semi-conscious identities, they stay fragmented.
While when secure, a solid identity stays become integrated from the fragments of identity become the main one fronted.
Still, this makes sense. The psyche is an interesting thing. Makes sense why people are often so jacked up, because their psyche is like a messy room. They must address things and slowly but surely tidy up.
Eventually, the gates open, those suppressed feelings emerge and you begin to deal with those feelings one by one until you begin to become one whole human personality who learns how to cope with existing.

A couple days later I was watching TV before bed and for some reason the movie "Unbreakable" popped into my head. I somehow wound up at the movie channels of the Dish Network service my family had at the time and Unbreakable was about to be playing in 5 minutes.
