Captain Keyes's death was traumitizing. And Master Chief having to punch his dead face to grab something inside his brain was just insult to injury because there was no choice.
For some reason hearing Keyes’ voice and Chief remembering the Autumn, actually made me pause and was like “woah”. Even though he isn’t real, still feels like you’re hearing a ghost.

Honestly hearing this part in infinite made me get goose bumps and also get a little sad. Seeing chief remember keys and all the men lost on 04 reminds me of like a veteran telling war stories to kids it hurts to talk about as whoever wasn’t there won’t understand what they went through I could only imagine the flashbacks and memories coming back to him of 04 and his battle there.
When I played infinite and heard that I GOT A HUGE FLASHBACK playing halo reach and CE anniversary hearing his voice. And I realized keyes said "good luck master chief" and nobel six's last words to keyes is "good luck sir"
I actually almost cried at this part because I remembered how Key's died on Alpha halo and then how his own daughter died on the ark. None of his family survived. Then Johnson died and it broke me. Had to decompress for a whole day after playing Halo 3. After playing infinite and learning that Cortana had been long gone and there was no way to save her was devastating to me. I was hoping she merged herself with the weapon and was remembering who she was but I was wrong. Cortana was long dead. The good news is, Cortana Jr is adorable and very likable. So I think it will work nicely going forward with Junior, Brohammer and Chief.
Not entirely. Technically speaking Halsey survived and she was at least in some kind of relationship with keys. They never got married but where dating. So some of captain key’s family is still alive because of Halsey being counted as family. I am counting her as family because Halsey was the mother of Miranda.

Her relationship with Miranda was broken or moreso, inexistent, Halsey was so busy and worried about Miranda survival that she sacrificed their time together. Keyes understood the situation and respected her decision. Now with them gone, Halsey just gave up and let her arrest/sentence going on without resistance. Such a depressing outcome, one more thing the war took away.

Captain Jacob Keyes didn't prioritize his evacuation over those of his crew, Captain Keyes stayed on his ship and continued to lead as the enemy descended upon his ship. Commander Lasky is the opposite of Captain Keyes, Lasky prioritized his own evacuation. Lasky ordered his crew to escort him to his own private life pod and demanded it is loaded with fruit snacks. As the Infinity burned Lasky was having a picnic on the surface of Zeta Halo.
Ah yes and because of that if Chief hadn't rescued him they probably would've been able to use him as a way to learn all they could about the UNSC or even worse ACTIVATE THE RING. Keyes was noble and Lasky is as well, man literally prioritized Halsey over himself, he could've died protecting her from the Prometheans.
You know nothing do you the truth of it was he was actually escorted not by his own order he was forced to board the lifepod and this is the reason why Captain Lasky didn't see his men and women under his command as his subordinates or his soldiers he saw them as his family his brothers his sisters when one of them died he shed a tear he was escorted to his evacuation pod by force by a group of four Spartans as soon as he was in they launched him without him even giving an order so next time do more research before you put a stupid comment like this dude all it does is make you an enemy of the Halo community

keep in mind when the 4runners tried to recover the essences (souls basically) of their people who got consumed by the flood and regrow them inside pods so they could live normally again what grew back were what seemed to be flood but without flood matter so it changed them to their very souls...

Commander Lasky is the opposite of Captain Keyes, Lasky prioritized his own evacuation. Lasky ordered his crew to escort him to his own private life pod and demanded it is loaded with fruit snacks. As the Infinity burned Lasky was having a picnic on the surface of Zeta Halo.
Ah yes and because of that if Chief hadn't rescued him they probably would've been able to use him as a way to learn all they could about the UNSC or even worse ACTIVATE THE RING. Keyes was noble and Lasky is as well, man literally prioritized Halsey over himself, he could've died protecting her from the Prometheans.

You know nothing do you the truth of it was he was actually escorted not by his own order he was forced to board the lifepod and this is the reason why Captain Lasky didn't see his men and women under his command as his subordinates or his soldiers he saw them as his family his brothers his sisters when one of them died he shed a tear he was escorted to his evacuation pod by force by a group of four Spartans as soon as he was in they launched him without him even giving an order so next time do more research before you put a stupid comment like this dude all it does is make you an enemy of the Halo community
