This is one of the reasons why I like Oden's Eye so much (apart from the quality and color stories): they really include the Norse history. I think it's really cool to get to know more about another country's/region's history in a super fun way.
This eye look with the false lashes and your hair down made you look like a fierce, independent woman who knows how to have fun; I totally can imagine Freja having this kind of makeup on if she was a modern woman. And Christianity did her dirty but that is nothing new, it did everyone dirty and we're still paying for those things even now.
I just can't decide what I want from this collection, the whole thing is just so beautiful! My bank account is going to wish me dead but no matter, soon it's going to be full again to be emptied again. I just hope I won't forget this launch as I have forgotten some others and they're sold out when I eventually remember to go and try purchase the things.
The Cat's breath palette gives me Kaleidos Electro Turquoise vibes aaaaaand the other one made me think of the SO very Lovely from Colorpop hahah

arieltso06 i was thinking the exact same combo only using Mint to Be and Orange you glad. This is so yummy. I always loved a good saturated orange and lime green Just My Luck has a chartreuse in the middle that is amazing as well.
Good idea, I actually have those two CP palettes. Maybe I should play with combining them...

It’s the same vibes of Electro Turquoise from kaleidos , but I think that’s discontinued!! If you missed that I think this would be so lovely 😊 I have the kaleidos palette but I’m tempted because there’s a cat on the palette & I’m a cat lady what ca I say 👌🏾😻✨ the tears of amber is reminding me of cp sailor moon palette but much much muted!

The hair bows are giving me Sailor Moon vibes, especially the red one, and I want all of them 😅 On a side note, I wish Oden's Eye would show more swatches on their website and the inside of the palettes as their first photo. Hope they will work on that too someday!

Thanks to you I've kinda fallen in love with Oden's Eye, I bought most of the Norns collection and a palette from the launch before that.
The Cat's Breath palette is definitely going to end up in my collection (probably the Amber Tears too), I particularly like watching your reviews of Oden's Eye because you explain the mythology behind each launch and palette.
That kind of thing just makes the brand stand out, and its the extra thought that goes into the makeup that makes their launches that little bit more special.

Hnnnnngh, i really want Flower Punk from Kaleidos and this Cat’s Breath palettes… but I’ve never used eyeshadow before… and I have hooded eyelids :_D ig I’ll just keep watching. Would love to see you play more with this palette.
I got my Flower Punk in the mail yesterday, it's perfection! I also have hooded eyes but it's not stopping me. Playing with eyeshadows is sooo much fun that I honestly don't mind that just 1 of 5 eyelooks look okay-ish😁 Practice makes perfect.
I have aging hooded eyes and I never really wore much eyeshadow before. It was mainly just mascara and lipgloss and sometimes eyeliner for most of my life. Never been a big fan of foundation either. Then covid happened and I work at a hospital so my entire face is completely covered except for my eyes. I felt like I should at least make my eyes look fun so I just started doing it. I don’t care if it’s not perfect or “flattering for someone my age” I’m just having some fun with color and keeping things interesting. Just start with one palette that is really special to you abc grabs your attention and go for it. Do it on a day off and just play like you’re making a painting. You’ll find out what works best for you from practice. You won’t be as worried about it coming out weird if you think of it as a fun hobby like painting. 🙂

I’m obsessed with the goddess Freja! My great-great grandfather was from Sweden. His name was Oluf. Freja has always been a huge inspiration for me. Love this collection. I’ve never used Odens Eye but I’ve had it on my radar for a while. I’m excited to try this one!

Were Freya's golden tears over the death of Baldr?So that is the origin myth of amber, interesting. The teal & orange palette is gorgeous. Oden's Eye gets me with their beautiful artwork & presentation every time. I like how they make a bundle out of a saga or specific story from a saga. Niiiiiice. Too bad they aren't selling the makeup bags separately as I''m sure they'd sell thousands.

The Cat's Breath colour story actually reminds me a liiittle bit of the Urban Decay Wild West palette, but I guess that one is more earthy.
