Ra Ra Riot "Can You Tell" (Alternate Version)

Ra Ra Riot's alternate version of "Can You Tell". I seriously thought this was the actual version until I watched the video, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I have to say I prefer this version. Let me know what you think.

I am pretty sure there are 3 versions of this song. The original one is from the self-titled EP released in 2007, then the one from The Rhumb Line. The one in this video is the demo that was released at the same time "Can You Tell" was released as a single for The Rhumb Line. Wes Miles' side band "Discovery" also did this song but titled it "Can You Discover."

Bassist is my cousin (name drop, Matt Santossss), this is the demo version, as in BEFORE it got kinda overproduced and (more) popped song-ed out.

The drummer john pike died 6 months after this song, they made their debut album next year. I figured they didn't wanna the same drumming because it was really good and remind them of how awesome a lot of dead drummers are

I believe this is the original. I saw them a lot in 2006-2007 and this was the version I heard.

If you like this song check out a song called ( can you discover) from band name (discovery). A side project of ra ra riot and vampire weekend. It's the same song as this version but with an electronic sound.

This one isn't as good as the other, just lisnine to the lyrics (it just seems stang and kinda repetitive) also the instrumentals aren't as good
