Why did you banish Cold Steel passive at the beggining? It Can give you 60% damage. And after that taking an Overlord passive which can give you 6% for every 100HP... You could be much stronger with both.
I really dislike XP upgrades in roguelike games. When you pick an XP upgrade, you essentially need to gain two extra levels by the end of the run to make it worthwhile-one level just to break even because the upgrade itself doesn't directly improve your character, and another to actually gain any net benefit. On top of that, choosing the XP upgrade makes you temporarily weaker in the early game, since you could have picked something that immediately boosts your power instead. To make matters worse, whether the upgrade pays off depends heavily on when you take it, how much extra XP it grants, and the game's XP curve, which often feels like a gamble. Even when you just "break even" it feels more like a tax than an opportunity. All of this creates a lot of anxiety for me, and I honestly think these games are better off without XP upgrades altogether.
I agree with the sentiment. I'd rather they just not be there. This game though, it does seem benficial. This run I hit level 33...when I played with my Seeress, she has a bonus that can get an additional 30%, and I hit level 40. I think she's the only class that can do that.
I like the rarely used alternative of something along the lines "Get nothing now but get X in 3 levels". Where X is something worth more than a level. It still serves a similar purpose, but doesn't feel like a gamble.
it's not Hell it's Hel, and Hel is lokes daughter from norse mythology. Hel is a tiny girl with the face of death on one side and a beautiful girl face on the other side. She is the ruler of the kingdom of death with her bed that is called sickbed, and her bowl she eats from called Hunger. It has nothing to do with Hell, since Hell do not exist in norse mythology
Solid run, man i love this game 🙃
It's been a lot of fun.
I do like Odin's Ragnarok spell as well.
Ya, that's really strong...especially with the CD reduction.

I actually didnt mean to banish cold steel. I saw the 3 levels at the top, and my mind just jumped to it was a skill I didnt want.
I like this game - but really hanging out for you to play unlimited mode in DRG
Soon...hopefully.
