    Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE how everything is covered in gobs and gobs and smears of paint everywhere near your easel?! And your pallet?! Just one mound of paint!! OMG!! I love it!!! I LOVE textured art work!!! There’s just something about it that makes me want to touch it and you can’t get that same effect with other art work. It’s almost like it engages more of your senses being more 3D popping off the canvas like that😍😍 I would buy all these paints and buy out your whole supply if I could, but I’m far too frugal and on a budget and have to save every smear of paint I can when making my artwork. I don’t even like having to squeeze out more than I use out of the tube. This is one reason why I switched to watercolor because you can reconstitute your colors and use them over and over again. I know it’s totally not the same, probably on the complete opposite side of the medium spectrum, but definitely a lot less ‘wasteful’. I hate even washing off my pallet because I don’t want to ‘waste’ any of the paint and nearly cry when I have to wash it down the drain. I’d buy extra pallets just to save on paints if I could avoid doing that, but sadly even washing fractions of pennies down the drain in paint is still cheaper than that. I still absolutely love this though and it would definitely be my dream paint medium if I could afford it!

      I'm OCD about wasting paint too. I make my own Stay-Wet palettes out of plastic chinese takeout containers (you could use tupperware or any plastic container with a lid). I cut a paper towel to fit the bottom and then a piece of white silicone parchment paper (Reynolds brand - 3-4 bucks on Amazon) the same size. I moisten the paper towel by heavy misting, then stick the parchment on top. The acrylic paint absorbs water through the parchment (if the paper towel is too wet the paint can turn the consistency of pouring paint). As long as you keep the lid on and maybe mist the palette every day or two, the paint lasts a long time. hope this helps

    Hello, the way you work and your studio filled with paints are really impressive.
    It's like making a sweet cake. The huge amount of paint woven on the palette itself is like a work of art.
    It was really nice to see your video today. And it was fun to watch.

    I recently saw a video here. I am super impressed. I've always enjoyed impasto. So I ordered what I could afford. I received it today! I won't get to use it for about a month. When I can get all the colors I need. I have 4 now! I'll be ordering a few more today and then one more order! Can't wait!

    Question: Do I need to use wood panels with your paint?

    • @Gaffreyartmaterial
      @Gaffreyartmaterial  3 роки тому +7

      Hi Daphne, Our texture acrylic paints will stick to many surfaces and canvas is one of them.I used to paint on canvas however when I started to apply in super thick technique the canvas would sag. You can paint with texture on canvas just be mindful of the weight and smaller canvases will hold more paint and as they get bigger the stretched areas have larger spans to have to support the paint but if you don't go to thick it won't be a problem.Thanks Justin

    • @Gaffreyartmaterial
      @Gaffreyartmaterial  9 місяців тому

      Much thicker, smoother, and forgiving to work with than molding paste. Our Heavy Texture acrylics are in rich in pigment and it's more affordable since we make it from scratch. You can learn more about our artists paints at gaffreyart.com/
