You've quickly become my favorite Travel Channel! I was in Versailles this December, and it was just fantastic. Amazing experience and the Lore you get to consume with a good guide is great and you get to understand things about how our life changed in the present day after the monarchy fell. One of the things that struck me the most is how the Monarch, always needed to be seen and felt by the people and how there were ceremonies about him waking up or going to sleep, even the queen giving birth was public. Nowadays we live in societies where we don't really know anything about our true leaders while they spy and know everything about us. Quite the turnaround. Also, let me just add that im going to Milan in a month and your video about it has also been super helpful and made me even more excited for that trip.

King Louis XIV got his wish. He would go down in history being "Your King Forever" and remembered. WOW! Hundreds of years later we are still talking about what he built. No one is talking about the truths about what it took for him to accomplish building what he literally dreamed of. Thousands of people died building this.
Thousands of people died for other reasons to create such a place. Do your own homework people. Looks and what it took to make it happen; on top of the fact that it is still standing are important to our history. Especially to the U.S.A. since France is one of the nations who invaded U.S.A.
King Louis XIV and his brother Duke of dOrleans are who originally populated and named New Orleans, Louisiana . They sent prisoners who were convicted of horrible crimes to New Orleans, U.S.A. to be exiled from France. They called it "Send them to the New World".
    Yeah! Do yaul's homework!
