    Six mistakes you can easily make when learning gainer switch swing. I have made all of these mistakes at some point and learning from the mistakes was what made me good at this trick. It took a long time but it hasn't be the same for you.
    1. The worst mistake you can make in my opinion. This was the hardest for me to get rid of because I just thought that this was the only way for my body to swing. I had to do gainer switch from a setup that didn't create any torque to get rid of this habit. Gumbi and pop switch are the best setups if this is your problem.
    2. People always told me to arch my back when doing this trick but it never worked me at all. I think it's totally unnecessary and also harmful for your power. Neutral back, tight core, and some whip from the hips is required but never arch the back a lot if you wanna do this move with good power. Arching prevents you from being able to push your plant leg under you in a strong manner.
    3. The technique is very different from just doing a backflip off one leg. This idea of just doing a backflip off one leg may work in the beginning but to get any good swings from gainer switch you absolutely can't utilize this and expect good results. Gainer switch requires a lot of attention on the plant leg, plant leg's side's arm use, correct swing direction, switching speed, hip alignment, posture, core stability etc.
    4. Use a setup that gives you the most power and helps you to stay in a straight enough axis.
    5. Hunched back is way better than arched back but it's still bad. You wanna aim to have a fairly neutral back. Hunched back makes it hard to whip properly and to land in a good position to follow gainer switch with another gainer switch.
    6. If you are not switching early enough and pushing the plant leg under you while staying very strong on it, you will never get a good swing out of your gainer switch.

    I am 16, how much time will it take for me to learn this trick? (I am able to do backflip, frontflip, and can't train more than 3 hours a week)

      @@Superpowerjoker Possible indeed. Especially if you are naturally strong and quick to learn new things.

    How come we shouldnt* treat it like a single leg backflip?

    • @johzuke1
      @johzuke1  10 місяців тому

      You mean shouldn't? Because the axis will not work for swings.
