Just a quick info video looking at the Lii-600, and giving an overview of it compared to the older Lii-500 and 500s.
    ______FAQ______
    Q) Does the Lii-600 charge cells up to 4.25v like the Lii-500s?
    A) No, Cell reading immediately after charging is 4.20v in my testing.
    Q) How accurate is the temperature sensor on the Lii-600?
    A) good enough, but it is offset to the top of the cell, and the hottest part tend to be the center of a cell, so it will always be a few degrees off. But, its better than nothing.

Hi, this is a common mistake I notice from different users. at 7:45 mAh is different from mA, mAh is capacity usually used for batteries. mA is for the current, in this case the charging current of the charger. Great vid tho, Keep it up. :)

The same mistake is in the instruction manual for my 500 in the "Specific Parameters" section. It lists the charging current, and also the discharging current, in units of "mah." In the "Feature" section is lists the charging current correctly, in units mA. On another subject, it took me awhile to figure out what a "nor" capacity test was. Turns out it just means the normal test for battery capacity, as opposed to the fast test.

You can also keep the screen on holding any battery selection button for few seconds, you will see a blink on the screen and then you have it. The things I hate is the beep sound, and that you can't read the screen when the backlight is off. Also, you have the discharge option but not the minimum discharge voltage, which is helpful for storage the batteries for long time, also some brands allows less discharge voltage than others. well, it's ok. regarding the power supply it's very noisy. Regards.

Go on websites like aliexpress, And if it's electronics batteries flashlights clothing, etc. etc. you're going to find a lot of Russian reviews with pictures! I used to shuffle them back and forth in Southern California back in the 1980s from the docks of San Pedro to Los Angeles International Airport "LAX" you learn a lot of stuff on those trips and sometimes they have hours Left over between flights back home so we would hang out and talk, and they would always give you gifts for tips!

  • @ljbix
    @ljbix Рік тому

Helpful video- thanks. One correction: the term for charging current is milliamps, not milliamp-hours. So the Lii500 has charging current of 1000 milliamps. It can do that forever, so it's milliamp-hour capacity is infinite. A 2000 mah battery can deliver 500ma for 4 hours, or 1000ma for 2 hours, etc. Mah is a capacity term - it's current, in milliamps, times the time that current can be delivered.

That temperature sensor is interesting, but I wish they used physical buttons. Touch buttons on chargers and other gadgets are usually cheap and will either randomly fail to register input or stop working after a while.

You might try using wire "clip" leads(note1) with nickel-plated neodymium magnets to connect to the unit's contacts the cell(s) that don't fit into the slots. I suggest Keep currents below 1000mA to reduce high current point contact which could damage the nickel-plating.
Remember, however, that not using the slots keeps the cells from being monitored by the temp sensors. *Regardless of connections used, never charge/discharge cells without supervision*
(note1) Use high quality leads. Many of the cheaper leads sold online do NOT solder the wire to the clip and are often barely electrically connected to the clip. I've even found leads that were electrically connected to the clip by only TWO STRANDS of the copper wire and held in place ONLY by a crimp. All remaining strands were shielded from the metal clip by insulation. You can usually inspect this connection point by temporarily pulling down the plastic shroud that surrounds the clip, then push it back into position when through inspecting. When they need "repair" in addition to crimping I also solder the wires to the clips.

Lii-600 the internal resistance its wrong .
I have found a technical problem.
When measuring the internal resistance of the batteries it shows the maximum 116 mΩ.
So measuring the internal resistance with another instrument shows a larger number, for example 150 mΩ.
So there is a technical problem and it counts wrong.

Almost every charger is like this. In the Opus you have to deduct 30 milliohms for the resistance of the sliders which AFAIK is the only company that was nice enough to do the measurement for you and include the figure in the manual. So far I think Xtar chargers (minus the VP4 Plus) have the best ballpark DC IR. The number gets MUCH more reliable if you put the cell in the slot and immediately push the negative contact up towards the positive contact. I get readings with a 1 or 2 milliohm difference by doing it that way. The VP4 Plus has four wire probes so the accuracy is almost as good as a YR-1035+ or the likes.
