Yeah man just like his Bro obviously they are both nuts and got bags of skill. I was on the final stage of the rally GB not far from the finish when he won the WRC championship : )
The guy is doing well ... The car is jumping off the track ... Incredible ... You rarely see anything like that ... Many have hundreds of horsepower and don't use them .. they are afraid .. The man in the video is going super loud. Thanks again for the video. RESPECT
Incredible how it can go .. He beats these with the sequential ... Now I find out from you, who is the pilot ... Maximum respect for the MCRAE Family .. A legend of rallies ...
Ex 1998 Subaru WRC..was crashed during the 98 WRC round in NZ driven by Juha Kangas..purchased by the late great Possum Bourne, rebuilt and rallied in NZ and Aussie until ex WRC were banned in NZ and Aussie championships..Possum converted it into a hill climb car, until his tragic death, great to see it out there still winning. RIP Colin, Richard burns and Possum, all Subaru WRC drivers who were taken too soon!!
What a beautiful stage. Wow. The shot @ 1:58 is incredible with the pines and ferns. Sitting at a race track can be no fun. Exploring through the forest is one of the best things ever. Hill climb racing is where it's at.
Mcrae and Subaru, what else to expect except pure madness and top driving?Alister, just like his legendary brother Colin,is stunning pilot and it's amazing to watch with what precision and focus he tames monstrous Impreza.Definetely one of the very best videos you posted. Top content as always.
Jimmy, Colin and Alistair are all just epic drivers! Had the privilege of meeting both Jimmy and Colin when I was much younger and both where true gentlemen!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏼❤️🍺 You didn’t disappoint at all, what an unreal perspective; the car was making all sorts of maneuvers. You really delivered on this one!
Yeeee. Haaaaaawwww. Amazing he has so much control whilst still using an H-box! The torque on this things is mighty, coupled with staggering grip. Love it, but real edge-of-seat to watch. Would like to see it at Goodwood FOS.
I hadn't even noticed that it isn't sequential--that's mad! Best driving I've seen in a while. I've got tickets for FOS this year, but highly doubt it'll be on!
Yeah this is probably one of the greatest displays of driving ever recorded. I don't think the car has anything left to give. Alistair has ringed it's neck of every ounce of performance. The thing is moving over the road like a fricking panther. I'm sure he could break that record again, but he has near on maxed out that cars potential. As one commentator said back in 1992, you have got to wonder what Missus McRae was putting in their porridge. Those boys have a level of spatial awareness and cognition that is waaay up there.
Incredible car control, and thanks for showing the in-car shot at the end to highlight the fact there are no paddles to shift with, or even a sequential gearbox. He looked real busy there.💯
I have seen this video on numerous occasions, over the years!....yet what I still love watching it!!!👌...its one of the best Hillclimb Monsters Team videos in my eyes......the onboard footage is INSANE!!!!😱😁....Still enjoy watching it!!!!👍👍👏😄
Car is jumping all over the place yet the loudest part is the gearbox... Wow that is some amazing shock absorbance and grip... totally amazing car and driver.
He was a Master of his art .... If in doubt "floor it and hold on" He didn't need all of todays Electrickery he really was a Gift to the World of Rallying, there have been others but few stand out like he did .it's Still amazing to watch these videos...Thankyou for sharing
I had a v3 STI RA and it felt mental. I love Subaru all the way. This is how you drive a car. This is how you put the power down. This is a hill climb monster for sure
Following a great name heritage isn't an easy task . Filling the gap that Colin left behind it's gonna be tough and in this video you see a young driver taking risks ! He is experienced enough to handle it so far but the sure thing is ...an accident is just a delay of decision away
Colin Mcrae Richard Burns and Possum Bourne forever missed, thank you for sharing this video been a long time since I last saw this car and even more special being driven flat out by Alister Mcrae.
Gives me goosebumps seeing a mcrae at the wheel of a subaru again, Alistair could of been a world champion but never had the luck with the teams he signed for imo, was just as good/mental as colin
lovely machine, it's at least impressive, but the driving is from outer space, no words, nice job with this video man, full on camera angles, some specs of the beast, thanks for taking in-car vídeos as suggested, its a great experience, thanks! :D
Wonderful video and spectacular driving! I also love that you provide just the right amount of technical detail about the engine / transmission / etc. Always looking forward to your videos!
Good to know that Vantage Windows and Doors hammer their products into their customers' homes in the fastest time and with little regard to product longevity. Lesson learned.
This is Possom Bourne's subaru at a hill climb. I believe it won this particular event 4 times and here Alistair broke the record. Spectacular driving, hell of motor car
I wonder if he’s deliberately running mostly on 3 tyres in the corners due to the locked rear diff. That’s some mad level of control to shift the weight to make inside rear tyre airborne if that was the case. And oh that’s an xtrac H-pattern dogbox which is a semi-auto I believe, and the same style of gearbox for the upcoming T50 by a Gordon Murray Automotive, developed by the same company (x-trac)
Geez, he's running on the razors edge. What an absolute mad lad.
Don't forget his name. Family traits!
Yeah man just like his Bro obviously they are both nuts and got bags of skill.
I was on the final stage of the rally GB not far from the finish when he won the WRC championship : )
monster car and a sick driver geez
His brother was the best that's why
I was just thinking the same thing mf comes out the gate catching air and is on 2 wheels almost every turn lol
A stunning show of car control.
I like your profile picture
The guy is doing well ... The car is jumping off the track ... Incredible ... You rarely see anything like that ... Many have hundreds of horsepower and don't use them .. they are afraid ..
The man in the video is going super loud.
Thanks again for the video. RESPECT
His brother was Colin McRae so it runs in the family I guess
hes not even using a sequential trans..still lightning fast H pattern shifting
Metal Bucuresti yes .. Colin McRae’s brother .....
Our pleasure ;) And much more to come...
Incredible how it can go .. He beats these with the sequential ... Now I find out from you, who is the pilot ... Maximum respect for the MCRAE Family .. A legend of rallies ...
The amount of times that car left the track but never lost control was very impressive of both driver and car!
With manual gearbox "one hand driving" 😱❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
McRae style🤘😎
Nobody crunches gears like Colin did
Have a look at old clips from the 555 rs and the 95 555 wrx 👌💪
Or Colin McRae takes on manks rally 👍
Why tf is this comment section filled with cringy emojis?

What a beautiful stage. Wow. The shot @ 1:58 is incredible with the pines and ferns. Sitting at a race track can be no fun. Exploring through the forest is one of the best things ever. Hill climb racing is where it's at.
Heck yeah. And not to mention that sunset sun kissing the situation. Great spot me friend!
Brilliant driver, obviously from an amazing pedigree. Let’s talk about the mechanical grip from that car though! Amazing on all accounts 10/10
It is stuck to the tarmac
I thought the car would rip off the tires!
The whole family are/ were great drivers. :-)
Deffo
Another one coming along, Alisters son Max, who looks like he will be special too!
Very true sir
*Are still great drivers.😇
Isn't they collin mc rea family?

he's driving like he's running for his life. amazing video thanks
Our pleasure Giorgio ;)
THIS is the car of my dreams, the looks, the power and the speed
Damn that thing is balanced, lands, plants and keeps on going!
"It's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru"
@@AndrewB23 Hah, more like McRea's engineer that makes this a Subaru.
@NoNoNoNii lol no
@NoNoNiin no lol
Handles like it's on rails!!
He has that car by the scruff of the neck and showing it who's boss! Very nicely done!
I’m surprised he’s not running a sequential shifter.
Didn't realize until the end that it was a manual! He is so fast!
For hill climb would manual be handier
Fast left leg for fast shifting 😅😅
gewoontimm hes not using his leg
Chase Philport its semi auto
I recognise the driving style ✌️ when in doubt 😂
Amen
Abso fucking lootley!!
His Dad was an amazing Rally driver as well.
Full send!
Man can drive
@@markwalton8644 if you're talking about Colin that's his brother, u less you're talking about jimmy then you're a hundred percent right.
I don’t think there was ever a moment when all 4 wheels were touching the ground at the same time....dude had this car on 3 wheels 98% of the time...
The other 2% was in the air!
wtf
Maybe this car without anti roll bar in the body
This man has no fear of death.
Because he dominates it
mcrae!!!
Brave drive
Why he should have any fear of death particularly in his car?
Makes no sense.
Death doesnt fear him.. he fears death.. grim reeper in the passengerseat started to die all over again 🤣🤣🤣

Wrestling nearly 900bhp out of the corners, "one handed" !!! 💪👏
It's in the genes...

Thats some aggressive driving! When in doubt, go flat out!
What a Legend
Incredible driving. I expect nothing less from a Mcrae
I must have watched this at least a dozen times. Never gets old. Remarkable driving in an amazing car.
Fast and rigid. What a perfect machine
What a beautiful Impreza!!. thanks you for showing us, my friend!!.

George Isaak nice to say young..Alister McRae is 49 yrs old.
Any racing driver still alive is young at heart.
??? Alister McRae is a 40+ year old man.... He is a former WRC driver, not a new young driver.
Seeing a car this quick, pushed that hard... epic
Great build this car, the 2dr imprezas look so awesome rallied out.
Oh yes! Now your talking.
Serious rig , love it
It's one thing to have the hardware, it's another thing to know how to use it. Awesome to see both right here.

Old school racer, old school car, old school gearbox. Nothing left to say. 👏👍
too bad I can only like this video once. I woulda done it every time I watch this amazing run.

You know the person will be a legend when their last name is "Mcrae."
Rest In Peace Colin Mcrae
insane how well the power is being put down on the road , phenomenal driving and amazing machine .
Insane how well it sticks to the track
Damn that car is on rails, and that driver is freaking nuts! Great driving.
Another New Zealand engineered and built car being driven by an international star, love it 👍
RIP, Colin, Possum and Roger..

Between 2:00 and 2:04 is when I realized that this driver is crazy. The car was just screaming for help.
This is about as good as it gets... Thanks for the upload!
Rallying is in this man's blood comes naturally what a weapon
Absolutely MANIC. Brilliant driving, excellent run.. and my man was rowing an H-pattern the whole time.. Bravo, young man. 👏👏👏

Spectacular driving, hell of motor car
This is the best thing I've seen all day.
The driver and car capabilities are beyond wild! My gosh!
Finalmente una macchina che merita e soprattutto non fa quelle stupide gare di accelerazione ma corre su un circuito 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is the greatest thing i ever saw. Looks unreal
Good to see the ROJ plate still lives on. Possum Bourne and Roger Freeth were both absolute mad scientists, world famous in Pukekohe
It looks sped up with how quickly it is snapping in to the corners. Beast.
Wonderful and such details in the description

I couldn’t drive this car because I’d be laughing uncontrollably after the first 5 seconds
Holy crap that's fast!
Thats a sick build. One of the quickest subarus I've ever seen!
Quality run, car and driver 🔥
How is it even possible to go that fast :O mind blown.
