My first time seeing a girl who just graduated from elementary that stressed😂😂 seowon so cute and works really hard❤ everyone just adores elisia but she wanna compete with it.
From the first rehearsal, before the final parts were assigned, Elisia and Seowon both sang the high notes really great. They both have different styles in singing. In the high note "oh, yeah" part, Seowon sang it straight as "oh, yeaaaaahh" while Elisia: "oh-yeah-e-heehh"
Seowon can reach that High note but it doesnt have dynamics. Its more like monotone its all loud. I believe that being a member of UNIS will give her more experiances and learnings about singing. Elesia is just good at understanding music, shes an artist already.
2:34 I looked back at this moment now that they've debuted and thought how unfair the lines are now. Now she has like 2-3 short lines 😢. It would be so much better if they get to use Elisia's voice properly. So sad to see that though Elisia is the main vocal along with Seowon, She isn't being treated as one. Out of all Unis members, she has the most versatile tone and flexible range. I get goosebumps everytime I hear Elisia's voice. Correct, all the negativity and toxicity should stop. The negativity has already affected Seo Won, like in the caption where she is harbouring thoughts that she might be eliminated and in the earlier trailer where she thinks she didn't do well and may have caused the team to lose. She is no longer the cheerful and confident Seo Won anymore.
But if it is constructive criticism, they shouldn’t be shielded from that. Otherwise, they won’t grow. In Seowon’s case, I think it’s still important for her to realize that her voice and mindset still has to mature

I heard nothing wrong with Seowon's part. She did it so well and she always has this crisp and uplifting voice. But the tone was already set by Elisia so well that PD's wanted the tone to be more Elisia style than Seowon's I guess (or they were told to create some challenging situation for Seowon. Who knows? The TV people would do anything to bring up rating.)
I think it is more of the tone or emphasis done on some words that the PD's wanted to improve on Seowon's part. Seowon fits that part but I think she thinks she needs to be like Elisia which kinda lost a bit of her spirit to be able to perform those parts well. I think the reason why the PD's distribute the line and give this part to Seowon is on order for the start of the song to be bubbly and catchy which is why they kinda bit disappointed at what Seowon did. She puts emphasis or puts a certain on some words that shouldn't be put more into it.
It's not about right or wrong, but what the producer wants. They merely wanted Seowon to sing a certain way which Elisia happened to capture. Elisia suffered this early on too when the vocal trainer told her that her improvs were unnecessary. Besides, she got to keep her part and pulled it off in the performance.
Elisia is literally mature enough to debut while the other one cries a lot and people be saying she's just a kid, don't judge her. A kid enjoys playing while idol life is some serious issues which might lead to serious illness, especially mentally and emotionally. Think UT, think. Yona having the skills and being on the right age and Seowon might have the star quality but her emotions might bring her group down if she is being favored a lot. Her competence is not good also, it's too much for a kid. Hopefully, SBS afford psychological lessons to debrief the future members about idol life. 2 years is a lot to suffer.
Seowon is still young.. she has youth, voice, determination, energy, and talent.. what she needs is exposure to other singers singing techniques.. what she lacks in actual emotion (because of her youth) she can slowly learn thru continuous performance with her U&iS sisters.. I'm sure she can learn a lot lot from Elisia, Hyeonju, Yunha, Nana..

I think if Elisia and Seowon debut together, it will be more advantage for Seowon, there is so much to learn from her unnie. She is already monster talent for her age, but if these 2 monter talent learn from each other they will surely be spectacular.
When you sing high notes you just don't scream it, there should be a ascendo with vibrato to not make it sound too pitchy and boring. Elisia sang the most correct way to sing high notes that I've heard in this show, everyone else sounded pitchy and could've damaged their vocals from straining and forcing their voice in the wrong technique. Filipino standards are strict in vocals and if I were to grade Elisia she is an 8/10 in Filipino standards. There are better singers than her in the Philippines but of course she is still 14, she can be a 10/10 in the future with more training. That's why she is an ACE, she knows how to sing, rap and her dancing is good too. Her range is wide for her age, that's why producers love her. They can see the potential. I don't even know why she's here, she could go Broadway, sing in Musicals with her voice. She can even voice a Disney Princess, her talent is wasted in this idol group.
Seowon is really a kid who gets tantrums if things doesnt go her way. She asked if there's a possibility that the parts (of song) would change even after receiving their assigned parts. She even goes further by singing other people's line during recording when she havent even mastered her own lines. ngl the 1st girl's version was better than hers knowing that was even her assigned part. Only watched cut parts from this show from random vids but deym gurl has competition complex lol 😂😂

I really understand the producers tho. I mean, it's an original song made just for them. People will hear it for the first time through their group. Personally, I would also choose someone to sing parts that can give justice to it. The song is bubbly and kinda playful and it should be sung with the right emotions and someone very expressive. Seowon has a clear and nice vocal tune and she actually suits the song. However, when Elisia sang it, it was just right. She's telling the story. Not everyone will understand it tho without being biased. I just knew the producers who already worked with lots of big stars that Elisia is perfectly matched with the song. It just makes sense. Eli has always been complimented with her vocals with everyone from the get-go. Even the judges agreed when Sejeong said that her skills were already as good as those girl groups already working. The bottom line tho is that Seowon and Elisia are the duo that I really enjoyed watching. These two are just so talented at such a young age.
I know this kind of drama, they will show they love elisia and then at the end, seowon will win. Its a matter of nationality. Of course, its for the show.

elisia was very good because of her experience of singing OPM (Original Pinoy/Pilipino Music), many songs of which have very broad emotional variety, from happy songs, to devastated, to empowering, to hopeful,etc. elisia knows how to sing emotionally at such a young age because of the musical influence she had as a child singer. that gave her a huge advantage over lim seowon, who, despite being a good singer at a young age, may have not been exposed to much variety of emotional songs as a kid, only focused on broadway and trot. but seowon is very talented! soon she will master emotions too, there is no doubt about that.

When you sing high notes you just don't scream it, there should be a ascendo with vibrato to not make it sound too pitchy and boring. Elisia sang the most correct way to sing high notes that I've heard in this show, everyone else sounded pitchy and could've damaged their vocals from straining and forcing their voice in the wrong technique.
Filipino standards are strict in vocals and if I were to grade Elisia she is an 8/10 in Filipino standards. There are better singers than her in the Philippines but of course she is still 14, she can be a 10/10 in the future with more training. That's why she is an ACE, she knows how to sing, rap and her dancing is good too. Her range is wide for her age, that's why producers love her. They can see the potential. I don't even know why she's here, she could go Broadway, sing in Musicals with her voice. She can even voice a Disney Princess, her talent is wasted in this idol group.
Seowon is really a kid who gets tantrums if things doesnt go her way. She asked if there's a possibility that the parts (of song) would change even after receiving their assigned parts. She even goes further by singing other people's line during recording when she havent even mastered her own lines. ngl the 1st girl's version was better than hers knowing that was even her assigned part. Only watched cut parts from this show from random vids but deym gurl has competition complex lol 😂😂

I really understand the producers tho. I mean, it's an original song made just for them. People will hear it for the first time through their group. Personally, I would also choose someone to sing parts that can give justice to it. The song is bubbly and kinda playful and it should be sung with the right emotions and someone very expressive. Seowon has a clear and nice vocal tune and she actually suits the song. However, when Elisia sang it, it was just right. She's telling the story. Not everyone will understand it tho without being biased. I just knew the producers who already worked with lots of big stars that Elisia is perfectly matched with the song. It just makes sense. Eli has always been complimented with her vocals with everyone from the get-go. Even the judges agreed when Sejeong said that her skills were already as good as those girl groups already working. The bottom line tho is that Seowon and Elisia are the duo that I really enjoyed watching. These two are just so talented at such a young age.

He just say 5 years cuz they're minors and theres a huge negative sentiment towards debuting minors nowadays which i kinda agree with but also at the same time dont wanna be that wall preventing them from their dreams. There should be more stricter rules if they wanna debut minors and heavier punishments towards people who invades privacy of minors in the industry.

elisia was very good because of her experience of singing OPM (Original Pinoy/Pilipino Music), many songs of which have very broad emotional variety, from happy songs, to devastated, to empowering, to hopeful,etc. elisia knows how to sing emotionally at such a young age because of the musical influence she had as a child singer. that gave her a huge advantage over lim seowon, who, despite being a good singer at a young age, may have not been exposed to much variety of emotional songs as a kid, only focused on broadway and trot. but seowon is very talented! soon she will master emotions too, there is no doubt about that.

seowon's reaction is understandable tho. i don't get the hate towards her attitude. obviously she is very competitive and it's natural for a survival show. she really looks uncomfortable with elisia doing too good and be compared with her, i've experienced that when i was in highschool, it's toxic but it's natural emotion to feel inferior when someone does something better u thought u can do good.
