  • PUBG is a really great game but sometimes, I think it has the potential to try or implement new or different ideas into the world the devs have created. These are some of those ideas.

As a player with 1100 hours in the game and a long time fan of choco, it sucked to miss out on buying his skins that I'd definitely pay for now because I had a particularly busy work season with little time to play.

Pretty sure the point of limited time skins and shit is to invoke that "Buy now while supplies last!" kind of gimmick. It's a known fact about marketing that putting a time limit on a product increases it's value and the incentive to buy it.
The market and microtransactions laden in PUBG is the part of the game I find hardest to stomach. I know it's obligatory these days for games to find some way to make money in game, regardless of whether you paid full price for it or not, but it's really done in some of the worst ways possible in this case. I've never played a game with a crate & key system like this, and quite frankly I was appalled when I found out it was in this game that I was enjoying so much. Why the fuck should I bother spending BP on cases if I have to spend money to unlock them? Not that there's anything better to do with it, the only shit you can buy with BP is garbage clothing (Which, playing strictly FPP, has zero value to me) or cringy emotes. Even worse is that most of the time, I get the same items over and over from the free to open crates, usually trash that you can sell for a fraction of the cost of the crate. Seriously, if I ever see another pair of grey slippers in my inventory I'll hang myself. It's at the point where I don't even bother spending BP anymore.
I know that cosmetics aren't important or game changing, but everyone likes being rewarded for playing their game. And the cosmetics system as is, dangled in front of the player mockingly, is more like telling them that the money they spent on the game isn't good enough. If there were a way to unlock more things, drive up the incentive to playing more, it would do good for the player base. But as is, doing well is so unrewarding that I've seen many people stop playing just because it feels pointless.

I absolutely agree. I started playing pubg a month ago because it was half price. Now I have 200+ hours and it sucks that I can't get chocoTaco skins in any way. I started watching his streams and all but what's the point of adding streamer cosmetics if they are only avaible in your stupid fucking shop for a few days? At least gimme the option to buy them on steammarket or something like that

It's so ludicrous that some of their skins cost half of the games total cost. There's no incentive to keep playing if you haven't paid for a pass since most crates are locked and frankly who wants to win their 30x biege crossbow skin. The games player base is constantly dropping and the players who drop a lot of cash for skins won't have any to fight if they don't keep the other players happy. I bought a pass because I was so bored of having no progression but most likely will be calling it quits when it runs out. I'm not throwing more money into a game I paid full price for.

Great video dude. Would be great to see some of these ideas implemented. So much wasted potential with this game.

I 100% agree, as a casual player who refuses to pay for season passes the store, bp, tickets, coupons are a complete waste of time and a frustration that I’d rather not have to deal with.
Makes me feel like a cash cow and I’m sure it’s turning many casuals like myself away from the game.

It's making me sad/upset to see so many awesome content creators have the ideas to make PUBG a better game however PUBG CORP is STILL breaking the game.
Still wont ping lock China (ah yes, getting killed by DoYUTV with a headshot with his 300 ping is such an ESPORTS READY experience)
BP skins would make it awesome for us. Your idea would actually bring so many players back to PUBG even. As you said, I have 40k BP that's utterly useless because they wont let us get a single skin. When we finally can open a crate? We get the same 10 cent pair of shoes.
The game costs too much, the crates are stupidly priced and still give us terrible items. PUBG CORP is one of the most disappointing dev team I have ever seen. Even the DayZ devs have more of my respect because they didn't go back on their modding support etc.

About the cosmetics: you don’t need them. There’s no ‘time investment’ or feeling of ‘time wasted’. I don’t care for most cosmetics because I play FPP and can’t see any of it anyway. What’s the issue here? Gun skins aren’t necessary and some even make you easier to see in a building.
I thought this video would deal with things like not being able to re-queue from the death screen, the stupid html based menu, the fact we have to wait 60 seconds on top of what we already waited to finally get in the plane, etc. Instead this is just the usual streamer/content creator talking about cosmetics and how easy it should be to acquire them. Nothing groundbreaking.

PUBG Corp is a terrible company. They need to get their shit together because EVERYBODY talks about how dissatisfied they are with the game, whether it be gameplay, or monetization. They should start caring, if that's possible for them to do.
    It's Grifflicious!

Just play the game to play it, ignore the cosmetics.
