Building A Cardboard Thomas The Tank Engine

- Hiya, it’s been a while! So here’s something some of you peeps haven’t seen on here before. If you haven’t followed me on some of my social media’s (such as Twitter or Instagram), then this may be your first time seeing this beast of a passion project!
I first started work on this passion project around late 2018 or so, but soon dropped the idea for a year’s length, then soon going at it again at full swing during late 2019. The whole concept came from a Halloween costume idea (or something like that) where I’d use Thomas’s coal bunker to store candy.
This project was very special to me in many ways; to show my love for childhood memories from the Thomas The Tank Engine and to commemorate my Grandpa who had recently passed last year in May fighting cancer.
I had been reluctant showing him off on UA-cam, but I feel it’s time to show my creation on here in full view.

Yours seems kinda short.. ah, i dont blame you, i also have it the same way but the fact that yours have:
-moveable eyes
-Detailed wheels
-Bent running board
-Opened portholes and cab
-Driver and firemen
And more is so amazing. For the face, i used clay to make it.
And yes, the wheels on my thomas does turn, but its just cardboard wheels, and the axels are just cut up Q-tips. I hope i can redo it someday. But great job nonetheless! I really like this one!
And a question: can i see measurments of this thomas? It seems to be big!

This is so cool, I have a cardboard Thomas as well but it’s no where as good as this! It’s just plain cardboard, flat surfaces, but this, this is, incredible. How big is this? Also kinda reminds me of ThomToysLand scale.

What materials did you use on this cardboard thomas?
Colored duck tape, wood for the wheels, pipe cleaners, styrofoam, styrene, and brass.
