This video should be shown to every college in the world!!! Super helpful and easy to follow. THANK YOU so much for helping me understand the methodology sector of the thesis!
Thanks. I was working on a proposal but got stuck at 1600 words. This will help me hit the 2500 target as I didn't really have much on my methodology section. Your lit review section videos also really helped me progress. Thanks again
Working on my first research proposal and honestly, I have been feeling ill equipped for this task but this video has helped me a grate deal, thank you. My lecturer simply said the methodology is the methods used to collect your data 🙄
Ms Badenhorst, what if I use both quantitative and qualitative methods on my master thesis, would I follow the same steps? Thank You for the great content once again.
This probably means you are doing Mixed methods research - so that would be your research design. Then you would describe the step-by-step data collection methods for both qualitative and quantitative. You would need to decide what other components you would include from each as well (for example, sampling for each, validity for each, etc). You might want use Phase 1... & Phase 2... to separate the qualtitative and quantitative.
@@cecilebadenhorst4997 Ms Badenhorst, thank you so much for your response. I made a mistake of saying that I will use grounded theory, for which I was chastised!
@@cecilebadenhorst4997 Ms Badenhorst, is there a situation where we use quantitative first then qualitative. Then , please explain where it is done. or even where quali is done firts and then followed by Quantitative method. Please give an explanation where it is used?
asha laiju What you are referring to here is a Mixed Methods approach to research. There’s a lot of information on how to use this approach on UA-cam and on Google.
Qualitative Research **Paradigm** **Research Methods** - identify the unit analysis - data collection methods - study site - sampling - step-by-step description of how data will be collected **Data Analysis Strategy** **Validity**
Thank you so much, you've just simplified the most complicated topic ever
This is what is called a beautiful simplification of a complicated and irritatingly(?) vague topic. Thank you very much Ma'am

Thank you!🙏
Really incredible. I am very elated. Thank you for your job
Thank you for making this easier to understand
Thank you very much, you have really simplified the methodology section.
Thank you so much!! This really helped me with my doctorate thesis proposal 🙂
Omg you explained this so beautiful....thank you
It's very well explained the idea on how to chose the Research Methods.
Great presentation! Thanks 🙏🎉
Thank you. I appreciate this. I am doing the qualitative research. Wish me luck.
very helpful.. thank you very much :)
It was great, thank you.
