- Hello my friends, This is Honda Transalp 650. Good old reliable, looking a little bit ugly motorbike. I did a Test Ride on the road and off road.

You need a set of Dunlop 606 tires to really experience what a Transalp is capable of doing in the dirt. Plus a little more experience to have more confidence. Good job for a first ride off-road

That transalp is good. If this transalp was mine, I'd firstly modify the ride height to be a bit lower, I'd swap the 21' front rim for a 17' supermotard style rim and tyres package, the rear a 18' supermoto rim or 17' depending on visual aesthetics and ride comfort... I'd put a akrapovic exhaust, a new oring chain kit with race sprockets... foldable clutch n brake Cnc extendable levers... aftermarket handgrips, handlebar end weights/sliders, handle bar end rear view mirrors,,,... aftermarket slim carbon fiber led indicators, , front fork mounted Led fog lights, led under couling lights, power commander ECU n tune, performance clutches, performance airfilter, oilfilter, crash engine guards, a sleeker aftermarket handlebar, aftermarket handle bar crashguards, rear fender delete, aftermarket seat, gold cnc foot pegs front n rear, black with neon yellow paint skim with gold vinyl decals, subzero airbrush , black n gold rims, and a fogged tail light lens... that transalp done in my taste...👌👌

These small windshields make quite a distinction already. Head is still full in the wind, of course, but that huge pressure on the upper body at higher speeds is mostly gone. Just try a bike without any and you'll notice how it tries hard to blow you off the seat.
I had a 1989 transalp before. Good reliable bike.
With some more offroad oriented tires, the TransAlp behaves much better in offroad conditions. It also becomes more stable with some higher speeds.
2stroke4me I had shinko 705 tires on my 89. Handled very well with them.

Seems like a nice bike. What year is it? Is it fuel injected or carburetor?
Don't know the year. It is the second generation of Transalp. It still has a carburetor.

All these comments about modifying the stock bike. There's a reason Honda built it the way they did - to be an all rounder. Beautiful the way it rolled off the factory line.

Piotr Gabriel I just lije Africa's look.;) It looks lije Dakar bike. Yamaha XT660Z has cool look as well.
I am eager to see the new XT700Z (T7 project now) hope this year yamaha will start the production...

I know you are buried in stuff about the war in Ukraine, but I am curious about your thoughts on the new Honda TransAlp. I am looking for a middle weight ADV bike like the Tuareg but am holding off until I know if the USA will be getting the TransAlp here.
