    It was a refreshing lecture...
    (edit: if someone is wondering they are getting a different answer. actual answer is 11 because benzene ones will not be counted due to poor quality of resonance)
    Answer to the Homework Question (Z2)(1:13:38): mass difference between product and reactant is 15.
    reason: 6 Hydrogens will be replaced in lower most section you can easily see that after resonance and in the system that is left of benzene and above cyclo-hexane 3 hydrogens from there and remaining 6 are from the benzene ring and right side -CH2.

      ye space tautomerism mai sir ne jo bataya ki alpha h jo hai voh acidic nahi hai kyoki hyperconjugation mai padhya uska main reason kya hai?
      yhi reason hai kya ki sigma pi conjugation hota isliye
      ya kya hai ? or mujhe kya dhyaan rakhna ki main sp2 H nhi tod sakta?

      @@nilanshusharma nahi it's not like that. basically space tautomerism is nothing but combination of multiple (1,3) tautomer and alpha is acidic but breaking it is not feasible as sp2 bond strength is high so what actually happens is the carbon that is in conjugation and is sp3 has the hydrogen which is easily breakable and is acidic as well due to conjugation after resonance you can clearly see that when negative charge comes to alpha position it is acidic (because if you remember resonance is distance independent and the true structure exists as resonance hybrid so from a viewpoint all (1,3), (1,5), {(1,2n+1) n belongs to natural number} are alpha hydrogens and acidic condition being "they are in conjugation obviously")

      @jeeaspirtant2024 I guess you have missed resonance inside benzene as it gets negative charge from both right and left side. you can read my reasoning and think about where these hydrogens are getting extracted from. Also thanks for the compliment 😁.

      hey can you please explain why it isn't 13? as when i did resonance for the acidic hydrogens, the negative charge was coming on 13 carbons

      wahan se H isiliye remove nahi karsakte kyuki agar double se H remove karega toh conjugation ke baad carbon ka hybridisation sp hojayega and ring toot jayega
      answer should be 9
