After an incredible 3 years of living, working and traveling in our self converted Sprinter Van we’ve had to make the very tough decision to abandon our tiny home in Africa to take a rescue flight back to Canada. As it has for all of us this global pandemic has flipped our world upside down. What went from a virus that seemed far away in China, quickly made it’s way across the globe forcing us to quarantine in our 60 sq-ft in Morocco. And while quarantining was going well for us it became apparent that things would be different for a long while. When our Prime Minister announced that he was sending repatriation flights over to Africa to pick up Canadians who were stuck (due to border closures) we consulted with friends and family closest to us and realized that in this time of crisis we should be back in our home country. The gravity of what we’ve done is sinking in and we ((especially me (Bec)) are having a really hard time adjusting to our new reality. This is why we knew we needed a big project to keep our mind + body busy while social distancing back here in Toronto so we called up our buddy Russel who sells used Sprinter Vans and asked if had anything for sale that would work for a new Sprinter Van Conversion.
This is going to be our 3rd time converting an empty cargo van into a tiny home on wheels and we are both excited and nervous to take on this project. We want this build to be the ULTIMATE OFF-GRID CAMPERVAN 🚐

Please be patient with the Home Depot!!!As an employee working for the Home Depot during a pandemic only an hour out of Toronto I can tell you first hand that we are trying our best to fulfill orders as fast as we can. keep in mind we’re working with a system that wasn’t created to handle thousands of online orders (as were experiencing now, before the pandemic we averaged 5-10 online orders daily) Speaking for myself and fellow coworkers we are really feeling extremely overwhelmed during these trying times and mistakes are happening. It’s frustrating for everyone, but know we are trying our best to keep up. Big Love for you both, I look up to you guys as such an inspiration, but please be mindful of people risking it all everyday working with no PPE, no social distancing... to make projects like these a reality. (I also second the name Serenity 💗)

Bill Wood suggested the name "Unity" which means the state of being united as a whole. We are all united during this coronavirus and it's because of this virus you no longer have Trinity. I think Unity is the perfect name.

Wow guys. I’m glad you’re safe and healthy...and van rich. It’s refreshing to see you’re in good spirits. I have to remember that it’s still cold in Canada, even colder because the CO2 blanket isn’t there right now. I can’t imagine what your neighborhood is like with everything shut down. I spent 20 years around there and it blows my mind that your background traffic is gone.

I’ve been moving back and forth in time binging your videos during the Corona-crap - which is not a problem because you’re always so clear about when and where you are during filming that I’m never confused about the timeline. But I just finished one from 3 years ago right before seeing this video, and what’s so apparent is how much you both have grown in filmography along with the editing and sound track selection. You must know this, and look back with the knowledge of your accomplishment.

FOR THE HEAT: When the red LEDs go up and down it's usually too cold for the system to warm up and engine heat is still building (after start up) so if you really need instant heat push the AC or Defrost button and it should do it. I have the 2017 but it's the same platform! :)
Serenity would be perfect in a time like this! Pandemic and all this will be your own place of calm, relaxation in a weird busy way and once it done it’ll be nothing but piece.

Nice!! But I wouldn't recommend using too much spray foam on the floor. Only use it where you can't reach with the isolation. It's good if everything is movable since it's a car. Spray foam makes everything very stiff and that can create cracks. Good luck guys!!
Throughout filming this, would you guys explain the solar? I would love to know all the electronics (phone chargers, blender, fridge) that you use with your solar. Also the amount of sun you get each day with your solar. This would be SO HELPFUL:) Thank you for being full of information!

Thank you so much for making these videos. This is the first video I've seen from yall and I love it. I want to do this so much but currently dont have the money to do one but I will some how get it done. I dont even know how to Express how much I want to do this, I want to travel the US and the world without any restrictions or commitments with a house or an apartment. Luckily for me I have 2 months left on my lease and will be living out of my car until I can get enough month to buy a cheap van and start remodeling it. Good luck on the build and I'm excited to see how the van turns out!

Been following you guys since you started pretty much and one thing that kept me away from living in a van like the one ''abandoned'' in Morocco would be the toilet and shower situation,seems like you are going to build a proper 'toilet/shower in your next van? What is the idea now?
