    I practiced on an ascend aeronautics 2500 for about 2 years, the camera was junk and so was the range but i got the feel for drone piloting. Then i got a mini 3 pro a 2 weeks in i forgot i was in sport mode took off and flew really fast into a hedge 😂

    That's good but depending where you fly, you also have to watch for aggressive birds. I've had collision avoidance warnings come on while flying high doing a beach shot which should have had nothing nearby - a likely sign that some bird few very near.

      Yeah, I've had quite a few birds fly close to the drone, but never had a crash with a bird.

    As I'm a retired pensioner and a beginner, I got the mini 3 pro,(would love to have afforded the mavic 3 classic) I did get the combo kit, but it didn't come with propeller guards. I've seen a few versions for the mini3 pro, but which one would you recommend? Great flying tips by the way! Cant wait to see more of your posts. Cheers🤗

      Thanks! Appreciate it! I haven't gotten prop guards for my Mini 3 Pro yet, but these are the ones I'd recommend. amzn.to/3vJfHRx PGY Tech is a good company and the prop gaurds look like they have a sturdy design (similar to the official DJI guards for the Air 2) unlike many of the ones you'll find on Amazon, etc.

    A tip on avoiding crashing flying in reverse, you touched on it in a way by saying fly forward first and just fly backward in the same path, to me it would be easier to just take the forward footage and reverse it in editing so that it is reversed. Problem solved.

      @flyingfilmmaker  Рік тому +3

      Yep, I should have mentioned that. I do that all the time, but if there are people, cars, or moving water in the shot, it will make the them move backwards if you reverse the footage, so sometimes you have to shoot flying backwards. But for the rest of the time that is 100% true!!

    Thank you for the tips my new friend 🤝
    You do a great job to teach how to fly with no crash accident 👌
    I find you from the DJI Mavic Air2 and Air2s Owners Support Group USA
    Sub 🙏 and a big like 👍

    I would disagree to buy cheap drone before using good one.
    Its opposite - buy normal drone with obstacle avoidance as minimum, it ll safe your face n life or something.
    Later u can buy any drone when understand how dangerous it can be n how all this stuff works.

      I hear what you're saying, but a small $30 drone is actually less dangerous than a DJI because it is far less powerful and has a lot less mass. Plus, I've seen people crash the expensive ones with obstacle avoidance pretty quickly, and that could cause some pretty serious damage. But going straight to the big drones is definitely a way to learn too, although possibly a more expensive one. 👍

      @@flyingfilmmaker Cheap drones are a bad idea, I agree with @TripHandbook. The reason is cheap drones have poor connections to the remote, no GPS or very bad versions of them and often more difficult to handle because they are so unstable.

    It's pronounced HU-ver not HO-ver. And that default setting is a bad idea for most people. The if the drone is far away and runs into trouble, it will hover until the battery loses power then auto descend into unknown territory like into a lake or over a cliff.

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  Рік тому +4

      Did you watch the whole video? I specifically said NOT to set it to hover if you're flying a long distance away.
