I'm very lucky to have a loving father. I'm the oldest of 7 girls and 2 boys. My dad has always been there for everyone equally.
Guys who think like you irritate me. You should love All your kids regardless if boy or girl....definitely don't deserve Any kids.
I hope as our Hmong brothers/men raised in America change their gender bias towards women. So sad that Hmoob women/sisters are not loved by their father just because they're born as a girl. Hmoob women are just as capable or more than Hmoob men.

It's okay if your sons doesn't continue to persuade their education after high school. Don't put them down that they worked at company, gas station etc.... Everyone has a different mindset. They don't have to become a DR or a lawyer. As long as they are working to provide for their family and are happy, that's all that matters. May your deceased daughter and wife rest their sole in peace. And may you learn to give love.
Right? First, he didn't love his daughters bc they're girls, not boys like he wanted. Then when his boys grew up and didn't have high education like he expected, he became disappointed in them. I wish Hmong parents understand that there are others jobs beside corporate positions or doctors. We can always support our Hmong sons to go for technical skills such as plumber, electrical, or hvc and etc...these jobs make good money too and less stressful.

All hmoob ppl care about is their image and their names. Idgaf about any of that crap. Image is like a piece of fragile glass. Once broken, it can never be put back together like before. Told my kids, they can do whatever they want if it makes them happy. I cannot be living precariously through them.

This makes me mad that you are such an old hearted man who values your sons more than your daughters. I am glad my dad is not like you, he loves all his children equally. Although you were ignorant in the beginning, it took long enough for you to realize that your daughters are wonderful children that do not deserve you. I believe we learn as we grow, maybe your mind just ran a little slower than others in terms of valuing people in your life and with god’s eyes, they made you learn. This story made me 😢. I’m not sad for the father but I’m sad for the daughters and the heartbroken daughter died and for the heartbroken mother. You should live with regrets for the rest of the life, you didn’t love your daughters until you realized that your sons didn’t meet your expectations. Daughters or sons, they both have values. Asians/Hmong need to change this mentality that only the sons are the important ones in the family. Nowadays, daughters are just as important as the sons too!

Basic science. Learn about the X and Y chromosomes, the male carry the x and y chromosomes. The female carry the x x chromosome. XY equal boy and XX girl. It's not the wife's fault who can't get a boy. It's the male.

@@maivue284 because it’s at random. The strongest sperm will fertilize the egg. The designation of gender is determine by the male sperm. If it’s a boy then it’s a boy. If it’s a girl then it’s a girl. Those that have the ability to have children should just count their blessings they were able to have children. Smh.
@@maivue284 , it has to do with what the male released during intercourse. XX may be his most active sperm with the first wife. Again, this guy is self, so God gave him what he wanted and took away a daughter he will regret forever.
@@maivue284 ph balance of the women also play a part of promoting a well balance ph "alkaline" that is faster for male sperms. E.g. perhaps Niam yau is consider a new environment whereas her ph balance is more alkaline than acidic. Therefore it promotes & prolong the life of a male sperms to conquer the egg first, otherwise in an acidic environment, male sperms will die faster than female sperms. There's many possibilities that can effect how the reproduction works. Will take more to understand than what the brother just explained & what I just explained.
