How thick is the camera bump on the back of the case? Are you able to lie the phone flat on the table?
I steered clear of the Apple clear case for years because of bad reviews but I got it for my 15 PM ‘coz I didn’t have a choice (there weren’t any other cases available where I bought my phone from), but surprisingly, I really love it! Now I have cases from other brands like Otterbox, Spigen, Tech21, Laut, Maus, UAG, Speck, Casetify, and I keep coming back to the Apple Clear case. It’s just so clean and clear and feels good to hold! It also resists scratches pretty nicely. I don’t regret the high price tag at all.
What do u think about casetify cases? Are they worth?
@ arcanejee I love Apple clear case that’s all I used on my iPhones drop my phone plenty of times no damage to phone and case don’t turn yellow and scratch resistant best clear case out there
I loved the Apple cases for my 14 pro,clear and orange leather. Clear Aman fine woven for my 15 pro max. Apple cases are great IMO

Am I the only one who likes the open bottom cut out? I like to lay my phone on my pinky while holding and it feels better. It also feels nicer on thumb while swiping up for Home Screen. Not only that like I don’t understand ppl cuz like that part of the phone will very unlikely hit a hard surface. The sides of the bottom still sticks out. And there’s a rare chance that the super hard ground is uneven and phone dropping right on that bottom front edge.

I’m looking forward to upgrading from my current XS to one of the Titanium Pros next year. Really impressed with the colours, though I’m also hoping that Apple release a mid-year colour again. My kids got the mid-year dark green 13 Pro, and then immediately covered it in a full case. That’s a “No” from me. Planning on using a bumper and MagSafe grip, … plus (maybe) a wrist strap for added security.

Just got my 15 pro yesterday and the Apple clear case. After unboxing and setup; I dropped the phone with the clear case on. This case is suuuuper slippery. But, it did protect my phone.
Had this case for the 14 pro. I dropped the phone on hard concrete on the sidewalk once but the phone had zero damages. Need to occasionally take out and clean as you can get debris accumulating inside.
Does the clear case material and debris lead to scratching the phone side rails? Would the issue be any different if going with Silicone case?
@@ravipro wasn't an issue for me. The debris was very tiny/ dust like rather than sand like

I’ve only had one other pro max clear case and that was on the 12 pro max, which I still own. The feel of this case is amazing. I’m so happy that I didn’t go with the silicone or woven. It just feels perfect.

Nice looking case and the one I have on my 15 Pro Max looks very similar except I have a stand on mine that rotates 360°. I do a lot of walking and having the adjustable stand to hold as I walk from time to time is very handy, but other than that my case is pretty much identical to that one, and I love it!
I went with the Spigen ultra hybird clear case. It is as good with way cheaper price tag.
It’s nice, I’ve had in on my last iPhones but I don’t like the open bottom. Hence why I want to find an alternative to this because I don’t want to have an open bottom…
I really liked my clear case on the 12 Pro but the thing that always pulled me away from it was the buttons being so hard to push. And in my experience they really never loosened up.
The bottom cutout didn’t bother me too bad, but it did strike me as odd that they never changed it because from an aesthetic point of view, it just looks inconsistent with their other cases and the relatively sharp edges (they never felt sharp to me, I’m speaking purely visually) were odd. They are always so on top of the LOOK of things so it shocks me a bit when they miss the mark like that.
I’ve debated grabbing it for my 15 Pro but the buttons just keep deterring me, despite me really wanting it to be cased up AND showing off the natural titanium.

I have the apple silicone case and I love it. But like you said in the video, it has been chipping and seemingly deteriorating even after not having dropped it. I think it has to do with oils in your hands breaking down the silicone. This is very disappointing as I've only had this case for about 8 months. I came here looking for info about the clear case and I think I'll give it a try 👍

Lovely review Andrew! The clear case are amazing but my only issue is the dust getting through the edges. It doesn’t look pleasant as well as it can damage the phone whilst it is in a case is very annoying 🫨

I bought apple’s clear case for my 15 Pro Max which should arrive at the end of this month and I still use it on my 13 Pro Max
The only thing I am concerned about this case is dust and particles getting inside the case and them staying there for a long time so it might scratch the frame and the back of the phone. I am scared to put on and off the case frequently to wipe the dust off cause it’s so rigid that it might scratch the frame due to frequent put on and off.

DO NOT BUY THIS CASE. I bought this case for my 14 pro max last year.
There are three major issues with the case, that aren’t mentioned here:
1) because the case is a hard plastic, and doesn’t cover the front of the screen around the edges, lots of dust, dirt etc gets into the case… any dust, dirt and debris that gets under the edge is pressed against your phone and will 100% scratch your phone. After only 1 week, my phone was scratched up like never before.
2) the case is not shock resistant… my wife accidentally knocked my phone out of my hands whilst we were walking. So about 1m from the ground. The hard plastic case CRACKED… because there is ZERO shock absorption. (Test it for yourself haha.) Which brings me to point 3
3) the force of the impact then dented my phone… and no… it wasn’t a hard drop… literally just a drop from about 1m from the ground. Landing on a corner… which it most likely would do if I was to drop again.
4) edited to add this, because I forgot… but the dust and debris that gets under the case then also scratches the hard plastic of the case as well as your phone. And the case looks so ugly then. It’s such a bad design!
In summary… this case offers no scratch or drop protection… which is basically the whole point of a case… and whilst yes… it is the best looking iPhone case. The MagSafe part looks by far the best of any case, (how it is laid into the plastic). It is simply not functional. I have had every single top spec iPhone since launch. And I started using the Spigen ultra hybrid case from the iPhone 6 I believe, and it’s a way better option for protection. Apple needs to step up their game in the case department.
I appreciate this video… but test it for a month first. And drop your phone a few times… this is what all the reviews sound like… but it’s not the reality… because your review has been done in a vacuum… actually test the products please! Hope this helps.

The best looking clear case sith magsafe. Even the MagSafe ring looks better on this case than others.
Very thin
Cons:
- shows cracks very easily even if you baby it
- slippery!
- the buttom opening, while i agree it has the aesthetic benefit, makes the plastic dig into your finger thus resulting in a bad user experience
- buttons are too mushy and combined with a slippery grip, makes using the phone with 2 hands a necessity.
i use a ESR similar clear case with the kick stand. peace. 15 pro max.

Had the apple clear case for my 11 pro max back in 2019. Looked great no yellowing but super slippery. I couldn’t get down with the bottom cut out. Wish they’d find a way to make the case cover the entire phone.

I haven’t noticed scuffs.
No titanium is easier to get scratched than stainless steel. It's stronger against benting, stretching or shocks but not as "hard" as stainless steel when it comes to minor scratches on the surface

Just bought such case to iPhone 15 plus, the buttons are so stiff that it’s almost impossible to use for me.
Any silicon case sucks,everything sticks to it. My favorite has always been the Apple leather case. Now my favorite is the Apple fine woven case they’re actually fantastic. My second choice is the Apple clear case.

The apple clear case is best! It doesn’t yellow! all other cases will yellow within a month guaranteed. Plus this case being opened on the bottom wont affect falls, unless it falls in a weird angle. The bottom is overlapped to withhold hits. Try putting the phone upright on a surface with this case it doesn’t touch the bottom at all on all angles.

I got one for my 15 Pro Max, within two weeks it had split at the bottom corner edge. Also, unlike the silicon case, it oddly doesn't fully protect the bottom of the phone. I know from a friend who has this case on their iPhone 15, that he phone case has some chaffing on the exposed base. I sent mine back to Apple and then took it me two months and a heap of chasing to get a refund. Their silicon cases are a lot better for daily use. Avoid these clear cases at all costs, total crap.

Three reasons to stay away from this case, firstly, it’s a horrible fingerprint magnet just like all the other PC clear cases out there. Secondly, the speaker and charging port are exposed which leaves that part vulnerable to scratches, nicks and dents. Thirdly, attach anything to the MagSafe behind, say a wallet, and within a week you’ll find hairline scratches on the back of the case since you’re constantly putting on and removing an object from hard plastic. If you’re still interested in a clear case, get a SPIGEN one which costs less and is more protective.

I don’t agree about the colors being beautiful with the 15 Pro series so I had to go with the white titanium. You probably do because other than the white titanium color, they’re all masculine colors. I will say, the Apple clear case is the ONLY case that didn’t yellow even after 2 years! Apple is WOKE so they thought replacing their beautiful leather cases would be a great GREEN, WOKE idea but from the looks of it, it is TRASH! Those cases look horrible even just after a couple of days use. 🙄

Worst apple case, it’s slippery and does not fit properly with the phone. There are slightly spaces and cause annoying click voices 🤬
I’ve always found transparent cases to be so tacky. In my mind, something like this simply does not belong on an iPhone. I understand not everyone is quite as wowed by the design of a phone, or cares and appreciates it, so using a case makes sense for protecting the phone-but putting a transparent piece of plastic over a titanium and glass item that costs north of $999 screams “I can’t afford to break it, but nonetheless want everyone to know I have it.”
In that case, a person isn’t admiring the design of the phone, but the prestige it represents.
A quick analogy: Imagine buying a brand new car and then encapsulating it in a bunch of transparent plastic. Doesn’t make sense, huh? That’s what insurance is for.
Apples cases are way overpriced and clear cases in general, at least to me, make phones look super cheap.

Its a little slippery at first but gets grippy after using a while. I use a clear magsafe popsocket and like it a lot.
for those wondering about yellowing/longevity, I have one for my 12 Pro Max that’s been going strong for 3 years, granted I’ve use it on and off switching with the silicone and leather cases, it’s held up pretty well. only slight yellowing that’s only obvious in bright light!

Been using an Apple clear case on and off on my 13 Pro, and though the back of the case holds up surprisingly well, the edges tend to yellow quite quickly, probably due to them being made of a different, more flexible material.
Wonder if the material has become better with every version
@@AndrewClarei don’t know about the material quality, but I do have to say that coming from the 14 Pro clear case to the 15 Pro, I could feel the difference right away. It feels more robust but it felt like holding the 14 Pro without the case (although their clear cases are quite slim, I’ve noticed how they tend to add a bit more thickness to the phone- but not on the 15 Pro). I’ve always used apple’s clear cases but then again this is my personal opinion. Thank you for the video! 🙌🏻
I have the Benks clear case for the 15 pro max. Same material as the Apple one, great MagSafe magnet and is only $20. Oh and the bottom is covered up and has some of the best metal tactile buttons
That Benks case has TPU (product page says it) which will yellow over time due to UV exposure and oils from skin. The Apple case is the only one I've seen that is purely PC plastic, which doesn't yellow.
@@TGCid01 is hard plastic all around like the Apple one, trust me, I have it in my phone typing this as of right now. It doesn’t feel like other clear cases that have the plastic hard back and soft edges(Spigen, Torras, ESR, etc…). This one is hard plastic completely. Only clear cases I have tested that feel like the Apple one is this Benks and the Rhinoshield

Leather was the best, but silicone is awful, it hides the design and color of the phone with that cheap ugly rubber texture and attracts lint and dust + they're a pain to put into pockets.
The bottom opening just isn’t it for me! The best clear case is the otter box symmetry case hands down 🙏🏼

The camera protector comes already integrated with the case, or can you place it separately? Because it would make me personally uncomfortable when it gets dirty with grease or something else in that part and the photographs do not have good quality because of that same dirt.

Nope. That open bottom is shocking. The Spigen Ultra Hybrid is far better, cheaper by over half, in fact more than half and the MagSafe magnets are very strong from the videos I’ve seen about it. Dont waste your cash on the Apple one cus it just isn’t worth it. 👍🏻🙂

@@AndrewClare looks are not what its about in terms of performance here. It's how it performs and from all the reviews online and UA-cam it's pretty clear it beats paying Apple's price for theirs. Having tried both the Apple on and Spigen, the Apple one went back on the shelf.

I tried the clear one in store and wasn't feeling it so left me kinda annoyed as I really wanted to rock an Apple case. I returned my finewoven as the bottom cut outs bugged my finger, so that went. 😂but just didn't like the bottom of the Apple clear case although it's better for the upswipe when using the iPhone. So now I'm so torn as to what to get it's doing my head in. Some cases weigh too much as well. Being in UK I need what I can find here too. 👍🏻

I've always bought the Apple leather cases but it was replaced with the FineWoven. I can tell you that it is not as durable as leather, as it is wearing at a much faster rate than I am use to. I am considering a replacement. Great video. Thank you! 👍
This case is still collecting dust and particles between the phone and the case like no other and this is a BIG no no for me... Yes, I know that the other cases also do, but not so quickly and that much.

You need to at least back up the device so when you log into your Apple ID you can choose that iCloud back up
