me watching News Radio episodes on UA-cam is equivalent to my dad watching Nick at Night 30 years ago when I was 5
💀
you just killed me bro because it's so true! 😂 I used to love watching Nick at Night back in the 80s and early 90s!
@@dustintravis8791 In the 80s, Nick had the best Baby Boomer fare in TV Land!
"No, no, it's work-related!" lol
Jimmy James would be the absolute best and worst boss at the same time.
I used to watch this back in the day.
So glad i bought the series dvd's years back.
This has always been my favorite sitcom
First time I have every watched this, why on earth was it cancelled and why wasn't it bigger. This far better than the other crappy sitcoms out of the 90's.
It was never a ratings hit even though it had devoted fans(like myself). After Phil Hartman was killed in 1998 the show was never the same.
They had just been renewed for more seasons when Phil Hartmann died. Jon Lovitz replaced him but it wasn't same kind of show from then on. Sad really because it really was a good show. Maura Tierney went on to ER after that and also inot movies. She played the female lead in the movie Liar Liar with Jim Carrey. Interesting that they replaced both Rick with Joe Rogan and then had a different actress play Katherine Duke after this episode.
I read an interview with the guy that played Rick the electrician. He said the job was already Joe Rogan's but that Joe couldn't be there for the filming of the pilot. So he was always just hired to do the one episode. Another funny thing is the role was originally given to Ray Romano but the producers apparently fired him before filming began.
A gem from back in the '90s...
Phil Hartman, Dave Foley, Stephen Root, Andy Dick
And oh yeah... Joe Rogan way before he started a podcast advertising fleshlights lol
Maura Tierny was my 90s crush, even hotter in ER. Plus, I think they should bring back the sax riff. You couldn't have a sitcom without a sax riff.
Loved this show!!!
That Rick character really pops. Excited to see what he gets up to in future episodes.
News radio, went on with its exceptional writing & cast
At the same time
It became a sad reminder, that it would never be
the real deal again!
✌️
This was a really good show. I had forgotten about it.
Bro this is good! Thank you UA-cam
Man joe rogan looked very different back then, like a whole other person.
Of course they would post these two days after I bought Seasons 1&2 on DVD!
(I only paid a dollar for the the set, though, so I can't get too angry about it all...)
The phones back then were huge! 🤣
Pretty good show! Never gave it a shot before.
I watched the first sometime back feel for Ed but James is the boss.
17:42 The moment you realize he' might just be a completely different person.
17:55 The moment it's confirmed.
I wonder how many young people know that Joe Rogan was on TV before Fear factor and how many people My age born in the 70s knew this show was on for 5 seasons I didn't know that if you didn't either leave a like so I know I'm in good company
👍
this reminds me of spin city (which i didn't see)
Hooray for this!
Long live king Hartman!❤
What a great pilot I can't wait to see Joe.
Best show EVER.🏆😂😂😂😂
I love the decor. Lots of good ideas.
"..pick it up.."
Phil Hartman was the best!
Mac Demarco makes a great news director
do more news radio
How did he know the elevator timing to arrive on time.
Rip Phil
Of the surviving cast members Khandi Alexander and Maura Tierney and have aged the best where time has definitely not been kind to Joe Rogan and Dave Foley.
I don’t see why. Seems someone murdered Phil Hartman in the most heinous way too.
Bruh dave was hot in fargo idk why hes catching these strays due to joe rogan
Edit: but you are right that cocaine was not kind to dave in the 2000s-early 2010s
How dare the security gaurd say not to write his name in cursive. < said sarcatically.
Whoever the guy playing Rick is, he's way better than Joe The Toe.
What is with all the effeminate handshakes?
WOW THANK YOU ❤
This might be the strongest pilot episode I've ever seen. The shows identity is already on full display and so funny.
How ?
Chappelle show had Clayton bixby in his.
