So it does work with a 2006 outback? did you have to purchase anything else or does that amazon link cover everything I need? Would you have suggested something different?
I put the same model Kurt hitch on my 2005 Legacy. I followed the exact same steps and it worked perfect. No need for shims. The only problems I had were holding the hitch in place while I started the first bolt. Starting the last bolt was difficult because the hitch was too narrow. even with the slotted holes, I was still about 1/16 inch off. I used a pry bar to bend the flange until I could get the bolt started. Everything was OK from that point on. Suggestion: If you are working on an old car like mine, wash underneath first to get all the mud and dirt off. And wear goggles.
Worked on a 2006 outback. The only major issue other than the exhaust hangers is getting the bracket into place above exhaust. Good video
