I love the old anime art style cause damn the body proportion are not exaggerated and just right. It feels pleasing. The color pallette that were also used is satisfying. The new anime art style evolved from long way round but for me, the old style paved that path and build its place inside my heart.

Fly me to the moon goes very well with this anime, keeping in mind that this anime is about the past lives of people from a moon base. Aliens from another world. It's a beautiful edit. I can't tell you how many times I've replayed this and have kept it on loop, watching the edit.
I hope they do more with this story in the future, or at least reboot it. This anime impacted me greater than almost anything i've watched, Shion has such a tragic backstory that we really didn't get to know about.

Discontinued? I thought that this was on par with what most anime based on manga do. If a manga is lucky enough, they get a anime adaptaion, but the anime only goes so far since _usually_ the manga would still be going on by the time the anime comes out. Hence anime based on manga don't have a definite ending/conclusion. Check next time if an anime even _had_ an original manga in the first place. _Maybe_ the anime is the original and a manga is based off of _it._ At least that's what it is nowadays. Some stories are anime-only; never manga.

@@shatteredXmirror i know that you posted this comment two months ago but i really recommend you the manga if you liked the anime. there’s a real and satisfying ending, plus there’re way more details about their past lives on the moon that are not mentioned at all in the anime such as the relation between shion and mokuren for example, in the manga it’s so different to what we’ve imagined while watching the anime, it’s not a simple love story or a kind of “love at first sight”.

Ah, Please Save my Earth, one of, if not, the most obscurest 90s anime of all time. Great story, good characters, and one of the most heart wrenching plots ever made. Truly a hidden gem among hidden gems. It’s such a shame the anime was cancelled before they could finished the series. For those who’re interested I definitely recommend you watch and read the manga when you have the chance. It’s out of this world. 🌕🌕
Read the manga. Once you finish, you’ll feel an inexplicable emptiness. It’s truly an emotional journey. I feel like most of the story takes place in their past lives. You’ll see the story from two point of views: Shion (the kid/dark skinned dude) and Mokuren (bangs girl/blondie). Shion is kinda an ass due to his horrible childhood and outlook on life. Mokuren is the opposite.
