Well after watching a couple more of your videos iv learned what's going on with your very informative video tutorials. not only am I new to PC but mods and using files as well . I'm getting mods installed with out a hitch and now coming back got the community tools working liked and subbed 👍
if you're still wondering, using "-profiles=config" will allow the mod to automatically generate the folders when the server is started, if you want it to do everything for you (except add the admin role) you can join the server for a minute or so then leave, it creates your json file with your ID and gives you the "everyone" role.
@@CrusaderSchmedes except when i launch and back out. that stuff is NOT generated. So I put the folders and json in myself and launched and nothing. Furthermore, when I'm in the launcher and load the 2 mods, then click join they don't show up on the required mods and dlc list before launching. Not sure what the problem is, I paused the video every 30 seconds to follow every step with every detail.

I had watched the video and did it about 20 times and spend around an hour and a half trying to figure out why it wasnt showing up. Now thinking maybe its changed and did find anything. Figured someone here had a fix, and yup. Here is my hero posting the same thing 'I put in already' ..... YEAH LOL re-reading my line it said "mob...." not "mod..." Damn finally thanks to this guide Im able to install mods in my private offline test server. Thanks for it. I had the problem of the permissionsframework folder not appearing, then I just copied all your files, made my pc particular changes, and it worked.
They made this game to be modded and are proud of it. Why didnt they make a mod installer tool like Skyrim has from Nexus Mods. I too tried to follow your steps but it doesnt work.
**FIX FOR CONFIG FOLDER ISSUES** If you don't have a Config folder or it's empty or missing files, close the server, edit start.bat and add "-profiles=config" in the same line as your mods, then launch server once. This created all files and folders inside CONFIG for me.
Paste "-profiles=config" before your mods part if it isn't there, it'll make the config stuff show up. For some reason its not in there by default from the site paste at least not anymore. Took me 2 hours to figure this out.

I’ve tried this followed all the instructions exactly and I get to the point where you make the config file but when I go into it the permissions framework folder isn’t there an I doing something wrong?
ive followed this step by step and i have noticed i have the same problem as some others on here.. there is no permissions framework file and im stuck.
For those who couldn't get your PermissionsFramework to show up, make sure you added the second '@" symbol in the start.bat file: "-mod=@CF;@Community-Online-Tools" I found this missing on a few peoples files that reached out to me for help. Also worth noting, If anyone is getting the "Community Online Tools is Currently toggled off" error, you may need to change the zero values to '2' for every value found in the generated text file at this location C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZServer\config\PermissionsFramework\Permissions (It will have a serialized auto-generated name)
Love your vid's have been following you for a couple of years and created my single player server thanks to your great tutorials. I have a problem with the Framework folder not showing up, followed step by step, pausing between each step, then after running my single player server I backed out and there is nothing there relating to the Permissions Framework the config folder. I have never modded but would like to get this running as I would like to get more from the game.
Great video, very explaining:-) Is it right to say that if you dont care about admin rights its enough to install CF because CF is necessary to have to be compatible with certain other mods?

I can't use DayZ Online tools on my laptop gaming computer to mod. It requires using the home key, but on laptops, you have to access the home key many times by using an FN or Cntrl key in combination with another key. It doesn't work in the mod while running the game. Bummer.

Subscribed to the mods, they are not located under Dayz, the Workshop folder doesn't even exist. That's because it's hidden by default, so you need to render hidden files.

I put all this in and had everything working with zomberry working as well I went to log in and it won't work its saying I have a problem file that should be there and I found it and removed it and it won't let me in the game my server isn't responding so I guess I need to redo everything
Is anybody currently or have had the problem on your server where grenades/smoke/flashbangs go off soon after you pick them up? Seems like they unpin automatically once picked up....

How to test mods without keys? I don't even know how to generate keys, but im trying to create a mod, I need to test it and literally nobody has a detailed enough guide for this, I feel like everyone skips over the really important steps

well idk why but if i want to join my server it stays in loading screen and my console says "Mission script has no main function, player connect will stay disabled!" Can u maybe help me with that one too? Nice video tho

Check to see that you have "-profiles=config" I had "profiles=config" without the dash and it was causing that exact error. Hope this helps!

Hmmm my only workshop folder is in the main steam folder and only shows these downloads in notepad

Why aren't the mods loading in launcher? They're not showing up on the dlc list when i launch in the launcher.

for some reason its telling me that server installation is corrupt and missing PBO from game files :(
Had the same problem, I forgot to copy and paste the key files - in your servers folder - Keys folder, copy and paste Jacob_Mango_V3.bikey into it
Everything works showes the mods in the LAN server and i can load in. But when i do, it won't let me use the mods.
Try CF and Zomberry instead, they're very reliable.
