The best (or worst, emotionally speaking) is right after Kat dies and Carter's voice just sounds so drained and bland while talking to Holland as you prepare to re-enter Sword Base... Breaks a grown man's heart
Something interesting worth noticing about Noble Team. They all went out in ironic ways. Jorge, the only Spartan-II on the team and the only one trained on Reach (Spartan-IIIs were trained on Onyx instead) loved Reach but was the only one not to die on it. Kat, the brains of the team, died from a headshot. Carter, team captain, went down with the ship. Emile, shown repeatedly to be obsessed with his blades, was killed by one. Six, the Lone Wolf, died alone. Jun, the sniper always apart from the others (even staying in the Falcon in the beginning of the game while the rest of Noble attends the briefing inside), is the sole survivor.
@@Mr_anderson111 No, they returned to Onyx after Reach fell, but Onyx was known to ONI. It's where all Spartan-IIIs were trained. Onyx itself was colonized in 2491, , the Human-Covenant War began in 2525 and Reach fell in 2552.
I never noticed that when the zealots first ambush Noble Team, you can see Carter pushing Kat down into a corner of the relay console and then using his own body to protect her while the others fire on the zealots. They were obviously in a relationship but after almost twelve years of playing this game I never noticed that detail. Edit: I also just realised when Carter tells Jun to "make sure nothing falls into enemy hands" and Jun says "I'll do what's necessary". Jun was willing to kill Halsey if he had to so that the Covenant didn't get her. Damn.
@@GamerJoobChannel he’s actually mentioned in halo infinite in the training arenas for multiplayer. On the sniper one if u get a high score it says something along the lines “That would even impress Jun.” Something like that I forgot now. Though all the stuff we testers played is subject to change so it might not be in the final version. Highly doubt it wouldn’t make it in the final version thou.
@@GamerJoobChannel Yes Jun survived, I believe he also recruited Palmer from Halo 4. I couldn't help but notice that in the final cutscene of Noble 6, the Spartan looks winded and worn out. While I can't find any place to confirm or deny it, I believe that Noble 6 survived for hours or even days after Autumn left before that final battle and waded through hundreds or even potentially thousands of Covenant. But until I find confirmation, it's just my own headcanon.
Knowing that Jorge was born on Reach, and died fighting for her only makes it more sad when you realize that his actions barely put a dent in the Covenant war effort. Reach fell like every other planet before it.
That was the unfortunate truth about the halo series before the great schism that split it the covenant they were steamrolling human inhabited worlds full planetary victories against them were few and far between and the few victories we gained against them were most often at a very high price.
So was Marcus Hudson from Fireteam Raven (the arcade game), it must have been heartbreaking to watch their home planet get reduced to ash. As Jun said, "use to be the crown jewel".
Reach truly holds a special place in my heart, as my favorite Halo game of all time. The story, the cutscenes, the atmosphere, they were all drastically different from all the other Halo games. You play as one of the many Spartan III's, and are tasked with defending the planet where the Spartan program itself came to fruition, Reach. Spartan II's were regarded as the most powerful weapon in the UNSC, with the first class having only around 33 members be successfully augmented, Master Chief among them. Being a Spartan III was essentially signing your own death warrant, as the missions they underwent were often seen as suicidal in terms of the odds of their success. Noble Six, the character you play as, was a lone-wolf, and often the last person any enemy of the UNSC, or ONI would see before their death. To put his abilities into perspective, Noble Six is often referred to as a Headhunter, an individual part of a highly classified special operations program that would pair Spartans of extraordinary ability together in order to drop behind enemy lines, and neutralize entire bases, kill enemy leaders, and sometimes destroy entire armies. They were expected to complete their tasks, or die trying, no exceptions. Needless to say, Noble Six always returned from his operations, with, or without the partner he was deployed with. He was designated as a CAT-II Spartan III recruit, meaning that if the original Spartan II project was still running, he would have been accepted in a heartbeat, based off of his genetic capabilities alone, and his combat record would rival even the greatest of the Spartan IIs. To top it all off, he also was a test pilot for the Sabre project, which developed the Star fighter you get to pilot in a later mission. When Noble One (Carter) talks about all the black ink on Noble Six's files, he really was not kidding, and his work with securing Cortana, and the Pillar of Autumn was just the cherry on top. Noble team was lucky to have him, and we were luckier to have the opportunity to play as him, and see the ending to his truly amazing life.
It definitely isn’t my favourite but damn it almost is. Halo series is basically the best games of all time they’re all just so good and get the emotions going.
important to note, this was a Sub Routine of Cortana, one that would spark the start of CE... the ending isn't very well made in terms of lore, but that doesn't matter to me despite my nerdiness this was my first Halo game when I played it back in 2011... and it still is my favourite because of that. And the lore does go fairly into detail which is oh so good.
I loved Halo Reach! I am so glad you feel so strongly about it! It took a set of brand new characters and told such a great story! Noble Six is such an interesting character, Reach definitely inspired a lot more intrigue into the different spartans and what made them who they were for me personally! Thank you for all the cool information! 😊
@@GamerJoobChannel and as a added note to this noble six got granted the title of hyper lethal only one other spartan received (the one and only masterchief holds the other one) and the entire invasion of reach and many other colonies were pretty much organized and executed by the arbiter :) Edit: Jun was the only one surviving reach of the noble team :) they weren't on the pillar of autumn they were still on reach for a while in a oni safe house until rescue was a option I believe (Jun beat the covenant attack that were attacking the safe house) i believe he became a headhunter afterwards but pretty much dissapeared presumably still working for oni
Another point is when. Carter told Jun to make sure nothing falls into the covenants hands. He was telling Jun to be ready to kill Halsey if all went wrong. Which is why Jun replied I'll do what's necessary
Jorge’s hits the hardest. “Tell them to make it count” he says, taking out one of the ships. Then dozens more come in. They thought they turned the tide but they only took out one drop in the thunderstorm. Jun’s alive btw.
@@dragkuneesaku5419 Yep. And then dozens more come out of the woodwork. Still not much of a win. Kill a warrior drone and there’s still the entire anthill coming out to react to the pheromones.
I love watching people new to the franchise discover how beautiful these games can be. Really enjoyed watching your reactions, keep it up. And remember. Spartans never die, they're just missing in action.
Halo Reach has to have one of the saddest storyline’s in gaming history because it actually makes you care about the characters and feel the impact it has on Noble team
@@GamerJoobChannel honestly Haha, favorite halo played to date and today I actually re-played the whole campaign on MCC and got so many different emotions, better gameplay from when I was a kid, not a teen (almost 16) more to think about, remember, realize and gather more info. It's all so crazy, and any and every time I re-watch the ending cutscene with Halsey commentating you helmet on the ground I get chills and like nostalgia and whirls of just yeah hehe emotions. It makes me wanna cry but the noble team or 006 comes out and I don't and think about what it will be like in the afterlife or after my demise. It makes me realize it's never the end or beginning its just the "Bang" you give others before you go :). Love Halo: Reach, Forever and always. Now take care whoever reads this and I'll see you in the silvery depths of hells >:D . (For whoever doesn't understand those last words, read the description for the Silver visor in halo MCC or reach's customization menu for Reach.
It’s even sadder when you haven’t played it’s your favourite halo and you haven’t played it in forever then as you watch the nostalgia keeps hitting you in waves with each death of noble team 😪
Carter told Jun to go with Halsey and said, "Let nothing fall into enemy hands." "I'll do what's necessary, Sir." Basically meant Carter was telling Jun to kill her if they get put in a bad position.
Reach saved my life. I was going through a horrible time in my life and I knew I was losing but I didn’t quit. I fought on and I’m better now for it. I also tried learning Hungarian as it was the lingua franca of reach. Fucking beautiful language but it was too hard lol. Thank you bungie, your work means the future I’ll have and have been having.
Not really. The map is placed over a battlefield for the cinematic, the one you arrive to be precise. The blue shot is from an Elite that's aiming right above where the tiny map is placed.
I love this game so much! The way they make the fight against the Covenant feel kinda hopeless reminds me a lot of how it was portrayed in the books. Especially the cutscene immediately after Jorge's sacrifice
“He’s a hero, they all are.” My biggest impression of these characters. I still feel very strongly about them, even after becoming an adult- a decade and more later. Glad you got to experience this wonderful game.
Her face at the beginning of the game and her face at the end really describe how the story left us all. Slowly losing the team as it went. To this day this is one of the greatest and saddest game campaigns in my opinion. Long live Reach.
You could hear a slight bit of emotion when kat said "understood" but then she went straight back to what was the priority, the mission. Really shows how broken they are coz of their training, but completely capable soilders and it reminds me of a line john said after the augmentation and his unabled allies was being taken, after mendez calmed him down, john said "that's all any of us ask for sir, a chance to serve"
This game always hits different. Out of all my friends who played with me back then, I was the first to play Reach. In the campaign, I was solo. God, I felt like such a badass in that first half. Then The frigate gets shot down and we suddenly have to stop a covenant fleet. Felt like the last stand. And then.... Jorge..... That hit me hard.... I wasn't ready for what was to come. New Alexandria was... You ever wanted to help with every inch of your being? Save just one of those npcs? Even though yu know you can't do a thing. Yeah. Sucks. And then Kat.... It just went down from there. By the time the final mission began, I wasn't sad or anything. I felt nothing, emotionless. I was just.... There. And when "New Objective: Survive" showed up, all I could do was say "Guess it's finally my turn." And go to it. Then me and my friends did co-op, I couldn't bring myself to spoil it for them. I just went through it. They wondered why unlike other games I wasn't hyped, they soon found out. Halo Reach was a Hell of a good game. I'd play t again despite the sad moments.
Did you know that there is a sort of ranking system for the Spartans. The highest rank was “hyper-lethal” give to only 2 Spartans ever. Noble six and THE MASTER CHIEF
i just like as the missions go on, your spartan changes armor. Like, i imagine the squad doing their thing and you are the only one with a suit case packed with other outfits "15 minutes, new armor paint is drying"
Reach has always been the best Campaign for me. 6 people you've never met before. A big and caring Spartan II with 5 Spartan III's with all different personalities. And yet Reach makes you fall in love with all of them and make you feel when they all die for humanity and Reach. Its this heartstring pulling story line on top of the panic from everyone else that makes it such a strong story line ❤Remember Reach❤
"First Jorge and now Kat..." They did a fantastic job of storytelling here. Even as someone who played the original trilogy and was aware how Reach ended from the beginning (Reach is referred to as having fallen at the start of Combat Evolved, and Chief was later referred to as the "Last Spartan" several times), they did a fantastic job of getting me invested in the story and characters, something the vast majority of stories that you know the end from the beginning fail to do. I'm not sure Reach is my top game of all time, but it's absolutely top 5.
As someone who grew up with this game I always love seeing peoples first reactions to it. It's my favorite campaign in the entire series and I still remember the shock and joy I felt when I saw my very own spartan in the cutscenes rather than Master Chief. I may have been 11 and it may have been 12 years ago, but I will always remember the joy and excitement I felt being the main character in a game from my favorite franchise.
I had one question going into this video and she answered it instantly haha, really glad it wasn't just one of those "watch the clips without context of the gameplay" videos!
I noticed that, once she gets into that elevator at the end of New Alexandria, Kat misses the button on her first try. This leads to her and Six coming out just after the rest of the team. They made it across. She did not. Just a couple of seconds made all the difference.
I’m loving watching someone play halo for the first time. My friends haven’t played it before and are hell bent on not playing it because “it’s too outdated” so because of that they’ve drawn to the conclusion that it’s not good or can’t be fun. I’m just sitting here like… u have no idea what ur missing.
@dacrosber Ik. It’s so disheartening when they just don’t trust u or the millions of reviews that literally have it at a 99% positive rating. Then I’m like “ok go play ur uninspired cod game and waste ur money on the battle pass for skins that will be irrelevant in a years time once the next cod game replaces it.”
Emile's death hits me the hardest apart from Six's. Emile went out fighting like a champion. Pushed off and gunned down one Elite, stabbed through the chest by a other and still killed that same Elite who stabbed him.
This is such a good scene. Such a good game. It really was ahead of its time by mountains. The way that they keep tension through the bickering of the spartans and the intense music the whole way, only to be suddenly stopped with the sound of a gunshot, followed by Kat's lifeless body dropping only to be caught by Your Character, and immediately followed by silence. Silence that is broken by a single piano note, and Noble Six's first reaction being to get a gun and shoot back. The way the rest of the team immediately and without a sound pull out their rifles, fall into formation and shoot back as well, even though they know its hopeless, its just all they've ever known. The civilians begging for their lives after they saw one of the so called unkillable super soldiers get gunned down right in front of them. Carter's body language in the end while holding his team mate's lifeless body, the destroyed city in the distance, the piano, all of it. Beautiful. There are games that depicted the horrors of war far better than reach ever could, but reach did in it's own more subtle way. Set back after setback, loss after loss, the feeling of being powerless in a war that you can't win on your own elicits a feeling of dread, because while still being a spartan, your no longer the one-man-army Master Chief.
Jorge’s death had me crying…Kat’s death got me angry enough to spartan kick someone…and Carter’s death?? Only strengthened my resolve…RIP noble team…we have the watch
Definitely should watch Halo: Legends. Jorge was my favorite. A Spartan-II like Chief but the rest of Noble are Spartan-III's, basically ONI knockoff Spartans and many given inferior equipment and sent on essentially suicide missions. However, 2's and 3's were on Reach for RED FLAG an operation to capture a Covenant ship, find their homeworld High Charity then capture a Covenant Hierarch, and force a truce between them and humanity. And the Covenant commander in charge of the invasion of over 300 ships of varying classes was Thel Vadam'ee, the same commander that led the Covenant forces in Combat Evolved and later became the Arbiter.
Did anyone else just notice that Gama station was actually from the first book, and that this is about when chief goes there to destroy its data? And you actually hear Johnsons voice. That's a neat detail ngl
@@jonathanmartinez2041 I actually missed it too lol, I just saw few of the guys talking about this detail in the comments...so I decided to share that thing over here :(
TBH I think that the fact all of noble team including the one you play as died makes it better and emotional for me as they was fighting a war that was lost but kept on fighting (the one time they weren't missing in action)
Well actually george as a spartan II was missing in action, his body was never recovered and possible he did not die in that slip space rupture I think that's why they played it out like that
45:37. I don't blame you for not picking up on the meaning for this little exchange. It only clicked for me when I recently replayed the game. When Carter says "make sure nothing gets into enemy hands", he's saying "make sure the enemy can't take Dr. Halsey alive". And Jun, when he says "I'll do what's necessary, Sir" what he means is "I'll kill her if I have to". Very subtle.
45:46, an often overlooked line. When he says "Make sure nothing falls into enemy hands." he's telling Jun to kill Halsey if she's about to be captured.
-Jorge (heavy weapons specialist): Died by an huge explosion -Kat (brain of the team): Died by headshot -Carter (Cpt and leader of Noble): Went down with his ship -Emile (Close quarters specialist): Killed by an energy sword -Jun (Recon specialist): MIA* -Noble-6 (Lone wolf): Died alone /----/ *:He later came back with the milk and is now helping with the Spartan IV program
Just from your reactions of love, and genuine care for all of these characters really makes me appreciate this game more. Because of that you’ve definitely got yourself a new subscriber, I’ll definitely be watching your play through of this awesome game.
@@GamerJoobChannel there is a youtube video that shows a pretty good case that it's not really contradictory. Both of the events could have happened. I think it's by halo Canon on youtube.
You gotta imagine being someone like me: a teenager in 2010/11, and you play this game fresh off of Halo 3/ODST a year or 2 after (most of my friends got into it by 2011)...to see a game switch up the bumbling and "wort wort-heavy" Sangheilians and Brutes to literally TERRIFYING aliens with intimidating physique, sound, and weapons was such a game-changer; Elites were now LITERALLY THE ELITES we never realized we'd been envisioning for so long. On top of that, the graphics were just so astounding to see for the console you were playing it on (360), and even now in the MCC on PC, it's still not bad looking! To top it off, you have one of the most tragic, and compelling narrative-heavy stories in any videogame to date, excellently accompanied by one of the Halo series' best soundtracks of all time. Simply put: a masterful game from a different era in game history. I also remember playing the intro first time, and Noble 1- CDR Carter says his name's Carter..... Annnnnd, my name's Carter, so I was like "excuse me, *_THE F*CK DID YOU JUST SAY?!_* " xD haha
8:22 for all my fellow halo nerds, can we just take a second to realize if george used just an ounce more of strength than he intended he could’ve just outright ripped the girls arm off 😂
Dude watching your videos for the cutscenes... this game of the franchise in particular makes me tear up so much like ... thank you for the content i guess.
You know, when I was younger, I interpreted the bit at 45:47 to mean that he would protect her at all costs. I now realize they were implying something very different…
@@noahmiley4349 Pretty sure that Carter is implying that, in the event the Covenant are about to capture Halsey, Jun should kill her, as the information she possesses is too important to risk being wielded against them.
Reach was the Magnum Opus. I’ve never played a campaign for the first time that immersed me like Reach did. The more time goes by, the more I truly appreciate this masterpiece. Wish I could play it for the first time again.
I like reach the most cause it showed the true cost and scale of a war with more advanced enemy, up until reach you played chief and just merked your way through armies madee the covenant seem weaker then they were. But in reach you see the covenants raw scale, and power, And you also see that Spartans are not invincible. And it showed that sometimes when people give thier life (Jorge) it doesn't change the outcome like in the movies, The best illustration of the Spartans not being indestructible is cat one shot and boom she's gone, blink of an eye, mid sentence. Brought a whole new light to the Halo universe. Halo reach was an absolute masterpiece best game bungie ever produced and probably ever will.
I loved watching your reactions to the cutscenes (: the ending of halo reach always gets me sad, especially halsey speech of how we were the reason why they succeeded 😭
45:47 when carter tells jun to escort Halsey it’s not directly for her protection.. he says don’t let the enemy get thier hands on any intel. Which is subtle order that if he can’t extract her safely he’s to kill her and himself so they aren’t taken prisoners and Halsey can’t reveal intel. Pretty dark but I love how realistic it is because you better believe our own cia and military work the same way in times of war.
Jorge is actually the only Spartan II on Noble team, the rest are 3’s. That’s why Halsey was so happy to see him and could recognize him even with his helmet on and armor changed.
Fun fact; Noble six is one of only a couple Spartans that was designated "Hyper Lethal Vector" by the UNSC. The other famous Hyper Lethal Spartan was Master Chief
Interesting, must be weird playing a prequel first since the special references don’t hold any weight yet, nor do the following games have as much mysterious backstories
@@inspiredhalo Don’t feel too bad haha, I ruined my Star Wars experience by watching ‘The Phantom Menace’ first instead of the classic trilogy. 9-year old me didn’t understand why there was some cheering in the theater when characters like Obi-Wan, R2-D2, Yoda, etc. first appeared on the screen lol
I often skip the cutscenes when I replay Halo games, but whenever I replay Reach and one of the teammates dies, I always pay my respects and watch the full scene.
just so that last stand by 6 in the end is truly understood, 6 fought an entire army alone for many hours before the covenant brought an entire army to bear on him/her, including multiple forms of air support. 6 is the only other spartan in history to be classified as hyper lethal alongside john 117, or the Master chief. he/she was truly one of the deadliest humans in history, and the fact that it took an army to bring 6 down is a testament to his might. in another game, cortana mentions how she would have chosen another spartan besides john, but said spartan was dead. this was a mention to Noble 6. Rest in peace legend

It's also said that he loved reach but died outside of it
Reach truly holds a special place in my heart, as my favorite Halo game of all time.

Halo series is basically the best games of all time they’re all just so good and get the emotions going.
important to note, this was a Sub Routine of Cortana, one that would spark the start of CE...
the ending isn't very well made in terms of lore, but that doesn't matter to me despite my nerdiness
this was my first Halo game when I played it back in 2011... and it still is my favourite because of that.
@@GamerJoobChannel and as a added note to this noble six got granted the title of hyper lethal only one other spartan received (the one and only masterchief holds the other one) and the entire invasion of reach and many other colonies were pretty much organized and executed by the arbiter :)
Edit: Jun was the only one surviving reach of the noble team :) they weren't on the pillar of autumn they were still on reach for a while in a oni safe house until rescue was a option I believe (Jun beat the covenant attack that were attacking the safe house) i believe he became a headhunter afterwards but pretty much dissapeared presumably still working for oni
the cinematography in this game is some of the best for its time of being released
It holds up very well! I loved the cutscenes in the game!
I might be biased but it still looks great, a lot better than even some modern games
Yeah, the graphics are still great considering it was made back in 2010
I really like all the in-universe cameras.
The cinematography is still some of the best to this day, even if the graphics themselves are starting to get surpassed.
Another point is when. Carter told Jun to make sure nothing falls into the covenants hands. He was telling Jun to be ready to kill Halsey if all went wrong. Which is why Jun replied I'll do what's necessary
“Kat’s so cool. I like her”
Me: wait till she gets behind the wheel
hahaha she did nearly kill me!
@Brother Kotello It is, it really is lmao

55:58 for Jun's cutscene. Not sure why it was left out from the other list.
47:23 Never noticed Carter's left eye is completely bloodshot in this scene, he really had it rough. RIP Noble Team
Technically his right eye.
But yeah. I always thought it looked really badass.
@@Lucifronz yeah my bad, I noticed it's his right. I must've said left due to the camera angle
Noble Team really did go through it! but they all stood strong!
Jorge’s hits the hardest.
“Tell them to make it count” he says, taking out one of the ships. Then dozens more come in. They thought they turned the tide but they only took out one drop in the thunderstorm.
Jun’s alive btw.
Not just any ship of the Covenant but the Night Of Solace aka the biggest ship the Covenant had in their arsenal.
@@dragkuneesaku5419 Yep. And then dozens more come out of the woodwork. Still not much of a win. Kill a warrior drone and there’s still the entire anthill coming out to react to the pheromones.
And being a Spartan II his death was far more impactful than that of a Spartan III.
@@richard7199 not really a Warrior drone. More like the Queen. Followed by the entire colony seeking revenge.
@@kaynel4033 Eh, unless it’s a colony that has multiple queens. It was a flagship, not the mothership.
I love watching people new to the franchise discover how beautiful these games can be. Really enjoyed watching your reactions, keep it up. And remember. Spartans never die, they're just missing in action.
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed 😊
Yes 💚
Halo Reach has to have one of the saddest storyline’s in gaming history because it actually makes you care about the characters and feel the impact it has on Noble team
It really was sad! I really did like how they handled the whole team on a mission destined to lose situation!
This game still makes me emotional and I've played it hundreds of times.
It really is an emotional game! 😢
It’s even sadder when you haven’t played it’s your favourite halo and you haven’t played it in forever then as you watch the nostalgia keeps hitting you in waves with each death of noble team 😪
Carter told Jun to go with Halsey and said, "Let nothing fall into enemy hands."
"I'll do what's necessary, Sir." Basically meant Carter was telling Jun to kill her if they get put in a bad position.
"That lone wolf stuff stays behind"
God the foreshadowing of that gets me every time
Reach saved my life.
Amazing what art can do. Hungarian is notorious here in Europe for being one of the hardest languages to learn lol
Reach has a great story and strong characters. You feel each loss…. And the music is awesomeness and captures The emotions of the scenes perfectly
Definitely agree! I loved Reach!
9:54 you'll see a plasma shot go across the map your so lucky that's like 1 in 1000
Didn't even see that, good eye
Not really. The map is placed over a battlefield for the cinematic, the one you arrive to be precise. The blue shot is from an Elite that's aiming right above where the tiny map is placed.

Oh really haha
I love this game so much! The way they make the fight against the Covenant feel kinda hopeless reminds me a lot of how it was portrayed in the books. Especially the cutscene immediately after Jorge's sacrifice
It is so great! My 2nd Fav in the franchise!
“He’s a hero, they all are.” My biggest impression of these characters. I still feel very strongly about them, even after becoming an adult- a decade and more later. Glad you got to experience this wonderful game.
I like that the game begins and ends with the same shot of a broken helmet but in two different perspectives of Reach
Her face at the beginning of the game and her face at the end really describe how the story left us all. Slowly losing the team as it went. To this day this is one of the greatest and saddest game campaigns in my opinion. Long live Reach.
Reach is an absolute masterpiece. Played it when it first came out and still love it. Glad to see others do too
It was very good! My second favourite Halo game!
I still stand by the fact that this game is shot as perfectly as a movie. So fuckin good
I do think Reach would translate the most to a movie!
It is so well done!
"They'll be remembered." Love that line. This campaign was so fucking good.
Did you know that there is a sort of ranking system for the Spartans. The highest rank was “hyper-lethal” give to only 2 Spartans ever. Noble six and THE MASTER CHIEF
This felt so weird cuz I’ve never watched these cutscenes with a female Noble 6
Oh really haha!
I was thinking the same thing 🤔
i just like as the missions go on, your spartan changes armor.
Its this heartstring pulling story line on top of the panic from everyone else that makes it such a strong story line ❤Remember Reach❤
and then we got HALO 4 & 5. Fuck
Carter: "There's no way in hell he's gonna go for this..."
...
Jorge: "Still can't believe Holland said yes to this..."
"First Jorge and now Kat..."
They did a fantastic job of storytelling here.
Reach really highlighted just how horrendous the covenant was.
Horrendous, yet effective
Spartans never die. They're just missing in action.
Yes 💚
I had one question going into this video and she answered it instantly haha, really glad it wasn't just one of those "watch the clips without context of the gameplay" videos!
I noticed that, once she gets into that elevator at the end of New Alexandria, Kat misses the button on her first try. This leads to her and Six coming out just after the rest of the team. They made it across. She did not. Just a couple of seconds made all the difference.
Damn. I never made that connection.
Took me a while that Emile saying "I'm ready! How bout you!?" Was him saying he was ready to die...
I’m loving watching someone play halo for the first time. My friends haven’t played it before and are hell bent on not playing it because “it’s too outdated” so because of that they’ve drawn to the conclusion that it’s not good or can’t be fun. @dacrosber Ik. It’s so disheartening when they just don’t trust u or the millions of reviews that literally have it at a 99% positive rating.
Halo Reach. Those scenes were exciting AND heartbreaking.
Did you know Jun (the sniper) survived?

JUn Survives. he lives beyond the Covenant wars and becomes a recruiter/trainer, then later Chief of Staff for the Spartan Project.
15:56 the way she bit her lips at them she’s not slick lol😁
Did anyone else just notice that Gama station was actually from the first book, and that this is about when chief goes there to destroy its data? And you actually hear Johnsons voice. That's a neat detail ngl

TBH I think that the fact all of noble team including the one you play as died makes it better and emotional for me as they was fighting a war that was lost but kept on fighting (the one time they weren't missing in action)
I agree! It definitely added to the feeling of hopelessness and made it such a more impactful story!
Jun survived so not quite all
@@TheBoro4eva true
Well actually george as a spartan II was missing in action, his body was never recovered and possible he did not die in that slip space rupture
I think that's why they played it out like that
I have played this game so many times and I still get the chills watching this. Definition of an amazing game all around. Noble team baby!!!
Idk if it’s just me but these reactions are SO addictive to watch 😳

I like how Emile try to block George when he is pissing him off.
How intimidating George should be to move Emile like that
45:46, an often overlooked line. When he says "Make sure nothing falls into enemy hands." he's telling Jun to kill Halsey if she's about to be captured.
-Jorge (heavy weapons specialist): Died by an huge explosion
-Kat (brain of the team): Died by headshot
-Carter (Cpt and leader of Noble): Went down with his ship
-Emile (Close quarters specialist): Killed by an energy sword
-Jun (Recon specialist): MIA*

You know, when I was younger, I interpreted the bit at 45:47 to mean that he would protect her at all costs. I now realize they were implying something very different…
Oh yes! I guess it could be seen as that way haha!
Wait what am I missing. (Doesn’t matter I watched it one more time and understand now)
@@noahmiley4349 Pretty sure that Carter is implying that, in the event the Covenant are about to capture Halsey, Jun should kill her, as the information she possesses is too important to risk being wielded against them.

It is a pretty positive and wholesome community 😊

The reason why Halo Reach is my favorite Halo game is because your multiplayer Spartan is your campaign Spartan lol.
It is a very cool detail! i really liked customising my own spartan!
It’s nice to see even more people traumatised by this story

Fun fact; Noble six is one of only a couple Spartans that was designated "Hyper Lethal Vector" by the UNSC. The other famous Hyper Lethal Spartan was Master Chief

I remember when I played Reach, my very first video game, for the first time. I was 8 years old, playing it bc it involved shooting guns. I never understood the game to its fullest. I’ve played it many times bc of it. Now watching the cutscenes at 20 years old truly makes me feel something. I played the MCC and still never understood its foretelling.
