The Series and Parallel settings look to be labeled backwards. Usually the the Parallel mode has a similar top end to the single coil and the Series Mode has a slightly muted top end has a higher output.

Nice!… one correction, in all of your descriptions of how the pickups are wired/switched, you're confusing parallel with series!
Series is louder and fatter/thicker, parallel is cleaner, more open and the same output as in single coil :-)

Nordstrand sell two types of double coils, one is called 'parallel' and the other 'series' , which ones have you mounted?

Simone Scarazza more specifically, the parallel wiring option allows many options, like the three way switches or a push-pull pot to switch between different modes. The series pickups would only be serial full time, this is best if you’re new to wiring
