Brad Goodman visited the shop and gave a demo on pulsing with the foot pedal and explained some TIG welding settings using a Dynasty 280 with expansion card installed.
Brad does work for motorsports teams and also fabricates aluminum dog boxes and dog feeders and more. Brads customers come to him for that stacked dime look and pedal pumping is how he does it. Stay tuned for more videos featuring Brad on Aluminum and Chromoly.

Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I started welding in 2018 and I’m already running a weld shop for a company and have my own employee. Because of you specifically I have picked up TIG extremely fast and have been able to provide for my family. For some of us that haven’t had the luxury of an old timer who was willing to teach you have been a life saver because we have that vast industry knowledge readily available in our pocket

i use older Miller Synchrowave 250 machines at work that has no pulse capability, so I taught myself the pump the pedal. it's made me much more flexible for welding all different thicknesses and positions without having to make many adjustments to the machine!

Miller gouges you with an "expansion pack" to unlock capabilities of their machines. It makes me think of a subscription for heated seats or remote start.

$750+ for a tiny SD Card with software on it. No thanks. Company practices like this is a great way for me to not be a customer of such company. I will never own a machine that carries an End User License Agreement (software license).

If you're gonna pump that peddle, 75 bal 75h is a pretty good sweet spot. Adding more to that side helps with the heat soaking and gives a good ripple. My school used the giant syncrowave and my first job blessed me with the dynasty 700, but did they ever harp on those ripples.

It seems like you always use 3/32 tungsten. When do you use 1/8?
