Hey guys, we hope you liked this video. What do you think about the state of Reinhardt at the moment? Should his Earthshatter nerf from 3.0 to 2.5 seconds of knockdown time be reverted or is there a bigger issue with the state of the game currently that is the cause for Reinhardt to not be a "meta" pick? *We also want to note that we understated the impact of the 0.5 Earthshatter nerf in the video as it takes away the time for Reinhardt to perform a 3rd action on a knocked down enemy before they can recover as opposed to the current 2.
I'm a Rein main and even this slight nerf kinda fucked up his capabilities. With 3 seconds, you could easily get 3 kills if there was enough followup. But with those 2.5 seconds, it becomes increasingly hard to reach enemies who were caught at the end of your range. And since Rein gets so much damage, it's very much necessary to shatter rather far away, depending on the situation. So I think the changes should be reverted.
Yeah, the shatter knockdown is pretty much the only thing i'd want reverted, all the other changes are pretty good for both rein and everyone else. -400 shield helps the fights be less shield oriented and have the reinhard be more concious about shield management, the others are just buffs. Though, someone mentioned steadfast could also reduce stun durations by 30% (excluding sleep dart and enemy ultimates imo), that'd also help quite a bit since hes usually focused so hard.
Late as hell but the Dev's admit that D.va is the buggiest hero program wise. Every patch that rolls out D.va had to be extensively tested because she would break to ridiculous lengths. Doomfist isn't that buggy, though, his abilities work as intended for the most part, and he only needed a hitbox adjustment to make his punch require a higher skill ceiling. Some of this stuff is retrospect obviously, because mechanical knowledge has expanded (looking at you Dragonblade), but a year later Doomfist is probably the least "jank" hero that they have, all things considered.
As a Rein main with 500 hours since season 3 on console at least all I'm gonna say to him is good luck and have fun with sombra's, mei's and sleep darts the bane of my existence :)
Blz also said they tried putting some of Doomfists tech into Rein's charge and shatter and the new and old code did not mix well and created very buggy abilities.
what's funny is that none of doomfist's techs's were intended. it was purely a happy accident that all his buggy shit had a bunch of things that ended up giving him slightly more viability thanks to things like punch cancel and diag punches.
That shit does no damage, doesn’t kill a 200 ho target unless their entire body is in the middle ring. If 1/3rd of their body is out, oh well only 50 damage
The production value on these videos is always high, and their topics are always interesting. I love these videos despite not playing Overwatch anymore and not following what I normally would. Keep up the work!
Love this as a series. You guys are so creative with the ways you find to cover Overwatch and its competitive scene. I think DVa matrix would be an interesting one to tackle.
If they gave him back the 2k shield they'd have to take away his movement buff or steadfast. If they gave him back 2k shield he and sigma would be the new double shield.
The stun duration nerf was a big one. You seriously can't secure kills alone anymore, but now requires team coordination which most games lack. This has made earth shatter a much weaker ult. In addition, the modifications coming with OW2 are only PVE and have nothing to do with the competitive scene.
Honestly I don't know how you don't have at least 1 million subs your videos are interesting, give useful information and all of them are fun to watch. And of course the music choices are just perfect love the jazz in this video whilst watching. Keep continuing the good content and you're in my opinion one of the best youtubers for gaming information and news.
Thanks for taking the time to leave such a wonderful comment! We hope to keep on growing as a channel while raising the bar on esports/gaming content quality so we appreciate the support.
I have to argue against the point made about the recent earthshatter nerf. It DRASTICALLY nerfed shatter, Reinhardt mains had been using the same swing, swing, fire strike combo on shatter since release and after the 2.5 seconds nerf you can no longer do that and people constantly survive earthshatter.
Was Earth Shatter always a conal ability? Back in the day it used to br five different projectiles that came out in a cone shape. That's what made the Kaiser shatter so special, it was a perfect *5 man* earth shatter.
It’s a shame you didn’t mention the visual effect change from the old orange crack effects to just a orange ball on the ground as that was quite a significant change
Rein's shatter is so broken that as someone who loves to play Rein with my lower level friends , I am almost LOOKING for buggy shatters to take advantage of. I'll take chances on some risky shatters because I know of the bugs and a lot of times it works. I was literally just having these thoughts while playing yesterday with my friends thinking "yikes, I'm actually looking for bugged shatter opportunities". I think people would be a lot more upset about how bugged his shatter is if it wasn't such common knowledge. almost just accepted by the community as one of the quirks of playing Rein at this point.
Compared to most other ults in the game shatter is really skill based (at least in rein matchups). Which in my opinion makes it a balanced but still really strong. I just wish they hadn't nerfed it into the ground
Fr tho I don’t think anyone asked for the stun on ES to be reduced. Now with new ES you can’t swing firestrike and charge like you used to which is really annoying and makes a lot less fight changing because now you really only have enough time to kill 1-2 squishies if your lucky
Video was great although you left out the fact that for some time there was a bug that made him shatter the floor multiple times. Shatter would be cast and hit the floor but then go back up to the sky and hit the floor again. There are many clips like that and sometimes the amount of times the hammer hits the floor is ubsurd.
Does anyone know if double shatters are a bug? I’ve only been able to do it once but I thought ult charge didn’t build up when characters were under the effects of the previous ult
the one cc ability that’s fair they nerf also the .5 seconds prevent rein from doing 3 things (swing fire strike then maybe block a sleep or something) now he can only do 2 of those things plus you now have .5 less seconds to close the gap between you and your targets plus this prevents reins from getting huge plays at lower ranks with teams that don’t know how to follow up on a shatter because that can’t get as many swings into the stunned target
Does anyone remember mccree back in beta with 75shot damage for fan the hammer. You could also stun roadhog right after being hooked if timed right too. And bastions headshot damage, those were the glory days when a tracer got right in the way of fire and got rekt faster than the frame rate

Reinhardt should be fine know. Blizzard just gave Orisa and Sigma some big nerfs so we all good
Personally I hate how the nerf has fucked up the rhytm of shatter follow ups, but im also very biased sooo

“The incoming release of OW2” HAHAHAAHHAA Funniest joke of the video
More of these historys! Ever since the Roadhog Hook video came, I wanted more! Same with the Meta videos. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, glad to hear that you've been enjoying these.
Akshon Esports we really have. At least I have.
Meta and history vids are my favs as well
These are just amazing
I'd like to post a suggestion here for the future: "The Buggiest Hero in Overwatch History - Doomfist"
Oh look dps mains complaining once again. don't you mean "The Most Broken Hero In Overwatch History - Doomfist"

Earthshatter: buggiest ultimate
Doomfist: buggiest hero?

5:43 The Reinhardt community would like to disagree
Yep shatter feels really weak now
yea wtf I was very confused when he said that
Barely enough time to do anything now .5 sec might not feel like a lot, but it is
Yeah you basically can’t kill anyone if they’re being healed unless your whole team is there
You don’t get to confirm kills by yourself anymore
Reinhardt Mains unite.
Well not me, but my friend with 90 hours in Reinhardt would like to talk with you
90 hours? rookie numbers
Well, they are growing fast, and it’s the only hero he really plays
I main Reinhardt but I can’t play right now beacuse I hab no money
250 on xbox
As a Rein main with 500 hours since season 3 on console at least all I'm gonna say to him is good luck and have fun with sombra's, mei's and sleep darts the bane of my existence :)
I have a suggestion “The Buggiest Person in Overwatch: Jay3”
Chicken Lord jay3 theres a bug on you
yes yes yes yes
more like Chipsa. total bug that he’s in anything higher than gold with how bad he is
Lol
I love Jay3 but the most popular ow player is xqc he is a huge streamer but I still really want a Jay3 vid
The visualization of the old shatter bug at 2:56 is truly beautifull
Blz also said they tried putting some of Doomfists tech into Rein's charge and shatter and the new and old code did not mix well and created very buggy abilities.
The Armoured Alchemist wait but rein was out before doom.....
@@xaviermcdougal5810 that's why it says old and new code. You know they've tweaked it after he came out right?

I love the memes combined with such a high quality/professionalism of the video.
Yeah with my most played hero being Rein I would say that I’d love to see his shield get that 2k health back.
If they gave him back the 2k shield they'd have to take away his movement buff or steadfast. If they gave him back 2k shield he and sigma would be the new double shield.
I'd take the 50% shield move speed over it tho
I'd rather get the 3 second knockdown back
Uh... Rein is way stronger now than he was before

A nanoboosted Reinhardt shattering is one of the scariest sights in overwatch
Also the patch where Rein would appear to slam the floor multiple times before actually shattering.
There was also a bug where Reinhardt would slam multiple times and not go through until the final one.
