You are right people have been racing about the 18mm . Focus hunting was bad on that one . The transitions in focus were a lot smoother on the 18-55 kit lens
Thanks for watching. I hope it was just a bad copy, but I've seen others mention the focus breathing when shooting up close. The 18-55mm is buttery smooth and one of my oldest lenses.
