· peak is how far you see the audio go in the meter
· true peak checks every audio frame for the peak
· sample peak samples a few frames to get the peak to save resources
· magnitude is the black line you see partway the audio meter
· input is the audio before the volume slider else it will use the audio after the volume slider is applied
I know this is an older post and I am going to be using some of these features down the road. I did however have one question that may or may not be possible at this time.
I would like to automate a shift in camera view and then bring in an overlay (video capture) when the overlay image is changed, after 20 sec or so revert back to the original camera view. I see that it could be possible the big question is if the move could be completed with a change in the Imported image.
THis would simplify my teams button pushing especially when I am front of house and not able to assist in the audio/video booth
loved the intro Scott thanks for all the help.
One of my favs! Instant Music Videos!!! So cool!! Thanks for the educational videos I'm a huge fan.
Scott, your tutoring technique is very detailed and explanatory of parameters you know well. I would encourage you to put aside the anxiety of getting new videos out on a given plugin until you yourself are thoroughly versed on every parameter involved. Don't get me wrong, I also appreciate your "I'm not sure, help me in the comments" approach as well. There're merit in both approaches. But I see such attention to detail in those parameters you are well versed in. I believe your content would be of greater value for the thoroughness of these tutorials, as opposed to continual corrective content on the same subject. But either way, excellent!
excellent video.. so much information so clearly explained!! I always learn something when I visit your channel.. thank you for sharing your knowledge... you are amazing
I swear with you I will download everything
Thanks Scott!
I got an idea to use this as a microphone monitor, so my camera border turns red when I speak. 😀👍
Also Scott you need to do a short intro to OBS BLADE! A remote controller of your OBS scenes and sources. Works on ipad, iphone and android, needs OBS websocket installed. It is free, download from app store… Control your Obs instances and stream - live. Switch between your scenes, toggle souce visibility, change sound volume - instantly.
Hey Scott, under Audio move plugin, the when you select Action -> Setting , you will be able to change the filter settings of any filter applied to to any source. I for example applied an colour correction filter to an image of neon lights.
Then under Audio move I selected 'Action -> Setting' and my image under 'Source' as well as 'Filter -> Colour correction' then under 'Setting - > Hue Shift'
This then lets me "animate" the Hue Shift of the lights, which then looks like disco lights.
If any of these instructions are unclear, I created a short video on my channel, if you want to have a look.
*NOTE after applying the filters and so on, go back to your source and reset the filter back to its default settings, which should correct any weird results.
P.S. Love the vids, they taught me alot. Greetings from South Africa
Nice karel, I will try do it too, but how to get that text?
I saw you create another video too, sad can't use comment on there, how to make overlay on Eerste Attempt 1?
Big thanks to Scott and Karel, I made it from your tutorial + Add Spectralizer Plug-in.

im not using this but Scott you always deserve a like and comment
Thanks For this Got it to work great. One thing I found the image will not move if you use Studio Mode.
YES! Exactly what i wanted, TYVM! now, my mic indicator can get bigger/smaller with my voice! :D da bomb!
omg. and my DT audio indicator now wiggles to the DT audio lol. now to do the guest audio indicator. this is too cool - so geekin out right now
Hello, your videos have helped me a lot but theres one thing i havent found, is it possible to strram.to a facebook page, Twitch and UA-cam ? I know restream but facebook pages is not a free feature on it.
The white all three at the same time no. But there is a plugin that allows you to stream to two of them at the same time. The name of the plugin escapes me but there is one out there. Can anyone remember the name of that plugin?
@@ScottFichter hope you can remember, ill take youtube and Facebook Pages. I saw one plugin for it, but i was not able to make it work properly: obs-multi-rtmp from Sorayuki.
On other note... I see you draw the filter Window off to the side just to see the blank canvas .. IS THEIR A WAY TO DOCK IT INSTEAD. Just like as shown the scene and source window is docked . I wish I can dock a chat window also weither it is Pop out or not .
So u have to have a full playlist saved if u want to have the visual to keep playing per song?
Hello Scott - Here a music tip to go with this nice OBS feature. 1. Attach a Usb piano keyboard controller to your computer and 2. use
“Midiculous” a free music app that shows your midi piano keyboard, 3. use Obs windows capture to get it into Obs and then scale it to only show the piano keys. You can see now which keys are being played. Could use Ableton og Garageband for more sounds and features. But my thinking is to apply your move transition filters to your live piano playing so that will trigger the beat and groove to move things around.
How can Midiculous show played Keys, wen a mp3 or wav file is played?
@@davidvanscouten7972 David, I think he's talking about a live show kind of thing. It's a damn cool idea.
Have to say thank you for this video I am using the audio move for my twitch channel as a dj wow thanks for making this video kudos to you thanks again have a great day
@@ScottFichter I learned a lot from your videos you put together thank you very much
Idk if you covered this yet or not, So I play a game called clash of clans on my iphone. I send the feed to my pc and through OBS stream it. There are many times where I wish there was a way I can annotate on the game itself. Have you come across anything that can help me draw on OBS while streaming?
Hmm. I've never made a annotation tutorial. I wonder if this tutorial gets you close. ua-cam.com/video/QPs7E5m-pO4/v-deo.html
@@ScottFichter So I looked into it and it turns out that you have to use an external tablet or ipad that will send your drawing to OBS. Im looking for a way to use the PC i have because I don't have an extra Ipad laying around and also I want the drawing to be as accurate as possible. I see streamers doing it all the time I just don't know how.
@@ScottFichter okay so I found something that’s free and works decently to get the job done. It’s called epic pen. It basically gives you the tool bar of a pencil eraser and highlighter. When you have a window open you can draw on it and OBS will show the drawing on that window. You have to make sure you align your window capture for both the epic pen and your game that your drawing over. It’s a little tricky but once you set it up your good. Thank you for pushing me in the right direction.
Anyone had any issue with to different audio source in one scene. It would move for source A but not source B even after I added filters. I made a new scene and then Source B would move but Source A would not move
i downloaded the move transition and it says it installed but it does not show up in my filters. i restarted my comptuer still nope not sure what i did wrong any advice?
i want music coming from virtual dj to do this how do i make the audio playing in virtual dj work with this
@7:11 You are a 'little fuzzy' on the Meter Type. The difference between Peak True and Peak Sample are mostly academic (most people should pick Sample) and more than I can explain here easy, but the difference between the regular and Input versions are important! The "Input" versions of these meters "listen before the volume meter". So later on when you adjusted the volume it changed the movement. If you don't want the overall volume to effect it then choose the "Input" version and it will listen before the volume fader rather than after the volume fader.
INPUT: Listens BEFORE the volume fader adjustments
(regular): Listens AFTER the volume fader adjustments
As for the jist of the sample vs. true mode: true will pick up more tiny/loud spikes to the volume like a gunshot while sample will average it over a longer time. Most people should probably pick Sample unless you are trying to time a really fast sound like a gunshot or something to movement.
Thank you for the clarity Ian! I appreciate the info and so will everyone else.
Not Related to this but related to OBS STUDIO AND HDMI CAPTURE CARD WITH LOOP. Anytime I connect my capture card to My laptop it doesn't show the gameplay on OBS STUDIO, instead it goes directly to OBS VIRTUAL CAMERA (which I have tried to stop) The most confusing part of all is that the gameplay usually work on my output. My television/ Monitor. Thank You in Advance. Sir
@@ScottFichter if it's possible for me to show you a screenshot it would have been easier for you to understand.
hey Scott, after doing everything here it only seems to apply to the preview window but not the program window even if i transition. Any HELP??
Yom actually early 16 seconds to spare
@@ScottFichter i was actually early i watch this 16 seconds early but comments were turned off
What is the program that you record your videos with Thank you
What's up moulintgt cdouargla the program I use is called Camtasia. I actually made a video about it a few months ago you can watch it here. ua-cam.com/video/ZmYDjCgpn8s/v-deo.html Stay strong and keep fighting.
Can I use this same effect for a video source if I am Video Mixing? If so, do I just make the Source (with OBS), be the video output coming from Serato Video? And have the music be the 'Media' source that the music video will be moving to?
YES YOU CAN! Actually if you look at the demo in the start of the video. The color of the video changes to the beat.
@@ScottFichter
Alright cool, that's super cool!
Thank you so much for these cool ideas and features you provide to all of us! I greatly appreciate
Nice of exeldro to clue you in. Too bad you forgot to put the N in Frequency. LOL.
Scott I need to just dispay songs NAMES im playing on my player (musicBee e.g.)
OK I SEE Stop ⏹️. And play ▶️ BUT WHERE IS the Skip .. forward ⏩ rewind ⏪ or to select a episode.. yes this is to control audio video .. especially if when watching a movie 🍿🎥..
Err... I'm not convinced there is forward and rewind. You can scrub it though.
Hey Scott, if you go into the edit transform menu of a source and select the bounding box to 'no bounds' and positional alignment to 'center' then the scale filter should be effected from the center of the image not the top left like the dog example was.
Haven't tested it, that's just off the top of my head. Hope that helps!
same with rotation too. Commenting as I'm watching, sorry
No worries. Thanks man. You comments have great value. Another video will be made.
BOOM! Confirmed Kyle is 100% right. The issue is not a code issue. Exeldro did nothing wrong with his code it's just a parameter that I failed to understand. To provide a bit more clarity. When you add the move filter to the dog source you must right click on the dog source and then click "Edit Transform" then you set the bounding box to "no bounds" and the alignment to "Center" I will make another quick video on this.
and if not, a workaround can be to have two copies of the same audio move, in conjunction with 3d transform to affect scale X and scale Y filter values
@@ScottFichter the amount of care you have for this project, its refreshing.
thanks for helping and a special thanks for going above and beyond
