You should watch the live ver of this song, it’s one of the few that I can think of where the fanchant is absolutely a step up, it gives it a little extra something to have carats and seventeen being one. Also the choreography is insane

I love all Seventeen songs but I specifically love this one because I think the structure of it really plays to each member’s vocal strengths. The way the instrumentals drop out when Wonwoo is singing with his very dark and open tone, the way they hold up Jun through his airy falsetto in the pre-chorus (chorus part 1? lol). Also I loved what you said about the choreography filling up space. Seventeen’s choreo is always so satisfying to me in the way it matches their songs, and that one comment from Kevin finally kind of explained why I feel that way. When you listen to the album from beginning to end, it is almost like Woozi purposely put songs in that order for a reason. They really connect well together. The abrupt end of Home leads into vocal units Hug so nicely.
Just wait till you get to the album. One of it's strengths is as soon as you're finished you just can't help but want to start over and listen to it all again.
Woozy intentionally makes some parts of the song with an “empty” kind of feeling.. like when you said there is a long space between one verse and the next one because those are made for fanchants.. that’s carats’ part 😅
I love this song. It’s so unique in form and sound. Plus, the vocals are beautiful! And of course the choreo is great! (It’s just so well integrated into the song). I wish you hadn’t been spoiled to the fake drop, that’s been one of my favorite parts in watching reactions.
