little story. my grandfather is the cowboy guide they travel with early in the video. My older sister has a copy of this video on a VHS. my grandpa would give tours in the Arizona deserts with his Jeep that had bull horns on the hood. The band apparently had received a tour from him that they loved so much they asked him to be part of this video they shot here in Arizona. my grandfather was one of a kind. Humble, strong, trustworthy, and nothing less of a perfect example to the person I strive to be everyday. To see him immortalized in this video bring tears of absolute joy. Thank you for posting this. Also this song is an absolute jam!!!!
My girlfriends father is the guitarist; Peter. Every now and then we watch their music videos and he’ll recount the stories behind this music video. It was shot in Nevada. They had a blast. One of the kindest & coolest families I’ve ever met. I’ll be sure to show them the comments section this weekend.
That’s awesome my Mother and Aunts are the ones singing. The church choir in white. I remember when she filmed this we all freaked out! Such a cool memory
Rock station in Oshawa, Ontario used to play this song daily back in the mid to late 90's. That's where I first heard it. Awesome tune that sees no airplay whatsoever.
I loved this song when I was a little kid. I remember my Mom had a cassette tape that her friend had given her with this song on it. I would listen to it all the time.
I forgot everything about this band. I could remember some of the words, incorrectly, from their goodbye song. Finally, today i got the words right, after decades, and found it immediately today. Its been 30 years since i heard them.
really surprise to read all those comments... too bad I can not find any more clips from them. Yes you're right Mukola01, Rob sings in a new band now, hope you can catch him on stage one of these days...
Ony by one we fall to the groundWe turn our heads and start fromWhere we were found, on our kneesHold your head from movin' aroundYour eyes are fixed on somethingThat you have found, it's not for me (chorus) Any if you say wash the rain Do you mean was the pain from meMy eyes are tearin', my mouth is dryA look of desperation lives in my eyesLet me beBlindfold the sun with the clouds that we breatheUnder the veil lies beauty that we don't seePlease set me free (chorus)Listen to the sounds of songs from an angelWrecked on the shores of time hurting my mindLet me be (mama cries for me)Ony by one we fall to the groundWe turn our heads and start fromWhere we were found, on our knees (chorus)
I saw them in 1991 or 1992 in a bar named La Brique in Montréal with band Madame and...Glass Tiger (Animal heart tour) for 6$. Yes, 6 good ol' dollars 🤣🤣🤣
Yea... This song kicks!! I have both cassette and CD versions of this album from when it came out in 1990. I also like the fact that this is the producers cut. NICE!!!
It was definitely converted to CD I had a copy of both their first and second CDs, however lost the first one in a move. Still have the second. I've been trying to find a copy of the first CD as I absolutely loved it. I still have the CD liner, but not the CD. If you find a copy, tell me where.
there are software programs out there that allow you to copy the video and then convert the audio to an mp3. I have used this program for this song and some other Canadian songs that are not available anywhere, like iTunes. It's not always the greatest quality, but if it's the only way to get the song that you like, you put up with the loss. I actually tried to find out if the album had been converted to CD, but never found it after a couple of years of searching various record shops and online.
Come on.....can't anyone come up with a better version? Why is the music on this all to one side on your speakers? This is such a great song...someone put up a good version please!! Thanks for this regardless...better than nothing. Such an amazing song.....
Wrong, we, they, never won a JUNO. and who cares about Juno's anyway. To tell you the truth, it's purely a question of marketing, Virgin Rec got sold to EMI, who could not care about all those Canuk bands. WOE was not the only one to bite the dust... not to say all those great people in Virgin's offices all accross Canada who got fire or after being pissed on, day after day, just quit! For memory sakes

They got a great shot with him and the dust devil behind them.

@@IStayTrueToI no offense to Peter maybe mixing memories, but nothing in this vid looks anything like NV. More like AZ.
I heard this song on the radio the other day. And I hadn't heard it in over 20 years. A simply beautiful evocation.
I looked for it on Spotify not too long ago. Wonder why it's not on there?
I looked for this song for 10 years plus!!!!
It's a pity this isn't available on iTunes. I dig this band.
It was a really good album/cassette ! Many good songs on it, hard to find them now. Record company's bury good music, these boys were robbed!
oops
OMG I thought I was the only one who remembered these guys! Met them in the mall in my hometown waaaaay back when. lol
This is one of our canadian bands rocking through !!
Thought they were australian!

I saw World on Edge in concert with Roxette back in 1991, they rocked the place, Amazing!

This is a great tune,it was a nice break from your typical 80's metal (not that i minded 80's metal). Breath of fresh air ,if you will.

I had the CD, so know it was available. It’s a shame this isn’t in the streaming platforms like Spotify.
What ever happened to them? They were supposed to be the next big thing no? Regardless I listen to this and Still Beating every now and then.
A fantastic song that gets zero radioplay. :( (you'd think stations would be playing this, to, minimum, meet the 35% Canadian content rule).
Can I find them on Spotify or Apple Music? Please
Come on.....can't anyone come up with a better version? Why is the music on this all to one side on your speakers? This is such a great song...someone put up a good version please!! Thanks for this regardless...better than nothing. Such an amazing song.....
yep i agree
lead singer in a new band called liquid edge
♫And if you say wash...the...rain,do you mean wash...the...pain.....from me?♫
Lol I actually saw them in concert
Me too! Actually went to see them when they opened for Roxette.
not available anywhere..ffs
@mexspice They won a Juno award which pretty much guarantees to end your career completely.
You would'nt have "Still beating" ???
Too bad that now they showcase talentless people for the money. Would of loved to see these guys and other talent make it big
Sorry, i meant directors cut, my bad.
funny thing... i only know it cuz of my dad lol
wow woody harrelson used to have hair and sing in a band!
its from 1990, but good try!
