I love this band more and more.. god, their music is .. amazing.. the more I find out about their new AND older songs, the more I fall in love with their music
The vocal layering in the chorus is beautiful. If you pick apart all the individual vocal patterns, there is so much going on especially in the last chorus at the end.
This is super late, but I have pretty much their entire discography and I assure you that you wouldn't be disappointed. I have songs I like more than others but I haven't found any of them that I didn't like at least some part of. I wish 慟哭と去りぬ was on YT somewhere so I could share it with my friends; there's live versions but poor Kyo sings his voice into submission and doesn't sing some of the lyrics during the best part of the song in any of the live videos I've seen...

It means 'The grey of a silver coin' and they chose it just because it fit as a band name. Each word of Dir En Grey is a word from a different language so there is no perfect translation though.
