I got them all! I was surprised that after you said 'check box' and 'match box' that you can't see any other words with box, and yet I would've guessed 'phone box' and 'dirt box.' I suppose Americans don't call it a phone box. But I didn't have to go there, as I got them right before that came up.

I was NEVER going to get this one: other than "Bud" I've never heard of any of those "familiar" terms for beers. When it's just one mystery word, you can maybe fake it and use it as a wild card for a category where you have three good matches but nothing else fits (as most of us seem to have done with "Sobriquet" yesterday), but with three mystery words? That's it, you're toast. (Unless maybe you luck out and happen to immediately spot the theme for Purple, and although I've had remarkable luck with that this past week it was definitely not gonna happen today).
Just saying HELLO. Spent most of this week watching Doug/Kenny in these sites without making any comments until today. I can relate much more to them. I am doing well as I hope to focus more on reading my novels and doing my bowling among other things.

The other day you said Baseball greats but the answer was NY Yankee greats so you gave yourself a half point for not being specific enough same should apply for you saying Alcoholic Beverages when it was Beer
The green is the one I got right away which I described as 'twosomes' I think I'm close enough with that. After clearing yellow, no mistake so far, I was left with light blue and purple and seeing PAY ______ for the purple I was able to conclude the light blue categories must be beers, even though I was not familiar with SERRIA and NATTY. I'm not much of a beer drinker, just every now and then. When there are two things I don't know, it's nice when they are both in the same category. So, it wasn't too hard.

He only had one miss and like Chris Remo, he NEVER fails at these NYT games. Both people could STILL be from Mars and this is OK. My landscaping continues to go well and I am presently in a book club.

The beers are brand names but people leave off the second half of the name. Stella Artois, Natty Bo, etc.

Got 4 points with 1 mistake when I tried the friend angle: 💛 , 💜 , 💚 , 💙. Knew 3 beers but not Sierra Nevada.
