Katheryn Winnick is the woman that brought Lagertha to life and will alway be remembered as the sword wielding Sheild Maiden.I could not even imagine another woman playing that roll..From now on anything I read or learn about Vikings my mind will always go to this TV Program
The role as Lagertha is much more demanding then the Dragon Queen in game of thrones. Overall I like both of them, but still Lagertha is my favourite!!!!!
How can the two even be compared? Daenerys was a selfish immature brat who was handed over everything her entire life and everything she touched, she destroyed. The few hardships she kept spewing out about her early life were nothing in comparison to what Lagertha went through from the beginning to the end, and she never used any of it as a means to put herself on a pedestal above others like Daenerys did. Lagertha is entirely self made and was looking out for the good of her people.
I love the dialogue at the end. It’s as true today as it was in the 900s. I just loved this series, I don’t have the same connection to the characters in Valhalla, sadly. Thank you for this video!

I know a lot fans turned on Lagertha since season 4b when she killed Aslaug and the writer didn't do her justice in season 5,don't know what to expect from her in season 6, BUT Stephanie Winnick did a fuckin phenomenal job as Lagertha Lothbrok. I didn’t have access to the History Channel after the 4th season so I never knew how the battle between Lagertha & Ivar played out except for glimpses on UA-cam vids. Imo, her character was majestic and she deserved a better fate than she got (but then I didn’t want Ragnar to die either). This vid is gorgeous and a beautiful tribute to a Queen. (I never saw Aslaug as Queen)
