I love how you kept a straight face when you said a £3500 guitar was great for just playing on the couch. I guess that was aimed at a very specific market!
Rather spend it in a guitar then keeping the money in the bank earning nothing at least when you play it it will put a smile 😃 on your face .Just not tell the wife
*_Grand Concert sounds more mellow and accurate...like classical guitars. I think its a beautiful choice for a jazz playing and lead solos... Grand Auditorium is its big brother with a bigger base._*
They are my favorite bodies . I find dreadnoughts and jumbos to be to big and bulky. The 12 fret Grand concert is the most comfortable guitar to play. The Grand auditorium has more power and volume. I love my 324 but a Grand concert is in my future.
Grand concert is my favorite body size for my Taylors. As a woman, I find that size comfortable for extended periods of playing. I started on an academy. Got a grand auditorium 400 series and it didn’t feel as comfortable for me. I just picked up a 812ce. So I can have the comforts for the academy (arm rest and smaller body) with the extras of a higher level guitar.
damn i was really focussing on concert - 312- but auditorium sounds so much better. it was much clearer, brighter. and maybe the player felt more comfortable. diff neck?
I noticed when he was doing fingerstyle on the grand concert his right hand wasn't positioned over the hole. Maybe because he's used to the larger size. But I bet that made a big difference. I'd go to a Taylor deal and try them both.
01:13 This is what I picture the most frequent/best use for a Grand Auditorium is (Almost like a steel version of a classic nylon), My Dream Collection: Martin D18, Guild JF55, Taylor 814ce
I think I got the wrong one :( I have an GA with 43 mm sattle and 643 mm scale. I like the sound but as a small person playing fingerstyle, the same guitar as GC with 45/628 would have been better I guess.
I have little stretch in the fretting hand and that slightly shorter scale length does help. Pay attention to the nut width too, I think it's just as important. My main 6-string is a parlour guitar and my 12 is a Taylor GC 12-fret model. You sacrifice some volume but compared to playing pleasure that does not matter at all. Seriously consider trading across to a GC. Edit: The GT, Grand Theater, must be worth a look too. It's a 24.1" scale.
Preciosa guitarra una obra de arte su sonido tan perfecto. Lastimosamente mis recursos no alcanzan para tener algo tan maravilloso como esto eso me da tristeza se que taylor guitara no leerá mi comentario
Stupid question but if a guitar has those expression dial things on the body, does that mean its an electro acoustic? I'm looking at getting a Taylor and its got these dials but it doesnt say anywhere that it's an electro acoustic
If a guitar is acoustic electric the last letter is often an e and you can see if a guitar is acoustic electric if it has a little black plate with a screen on the topside and a hole for plugging in a cable on the backside
Like comparing different, but similar cars - nothing too apparent until you make a mistake and buy it. Switching to 0:40 and 2:03 - they see it, one of them is quite bigger.
I’m so reluctant to say this publicly, but for the sake of beginners or hobbyists who may be thinking it, I just do not think these guitars sound that good. It may be the action is set too low - they both sounded too buzzy. (Guitars do NOT have to sound that buzzy.) And in general a bit too trebly for both. Don’t get me wrong, I WANT to like Taylor. It’s a good name. Nothing to be ashamed of. And yes I endorse Gibson and Epiphone as an artist. But they let me play whatever brands i want. I also love and have other brands like Martin Hofner Framus Eko Guild (I really like old European acoustics). Just have not heard a Taylor that blows me away. Still waiting... Anyone else find these too on the high end? Not warm enough?
The number 12 or 14 after the first number have nothing to do with the fret joining the body. By default, all of them are 14-frets, unless it's specified that a guitar is a 12-fret

Se como te sientes xD solo nos queda ahorrar toda la vida o encontrar alternativas mas baratas. Tengo una Tanglewood que suena muy bien, y LAG tiene modelos muy geniales por poco precio.

Well i mean you wouldn’t take it to a show would you?

That’s the “right” way to play it
really great sound from both of them

The Grand Auditorium definitely has a fuller broader frequency range.
because it's bigger
Hi, can i use e-flat tuning on the grand concert wihout sacrificing the sound quality?

Is this with a bolt on neck, or a glued neck?
0:47
2:08
@0:47 vs 2:08

A simple guitar will only have number i.e 214!. If it has :
Cut - 214c
If it got electronic and cut - 214 ce
Brad Pitt playing guitars now?
Picked this video cuz i thought it was Keith Urban
Maybe if urban had a kid with Kevin sorbo haha
what's the size, smaller than grand-concert?
Grand Theater, GS Mini, etc.
The 812ce sounds more crisp than 814ce.

Nice video!
Great info. I loved you in "without a paddle" by the way 🤌
Can I have the shorter scale with a GA body?
A custom order, I guess
Value. .?
A arm and a leg

A expensive dreaming gig 😭🧁
People from humid tropical countries please don't buy a Taylor. It'll burst on all sides.
That's not an 812ce it's an 814ce. Count the frets to the body.
He literally explained at 0:14 that for Taylor guitars, anything ending in a 4 is a Grand Auditorium and anything ending in a 2 is a Grand Concert.
