Eric is the best, was able to get a grail card from him. So I’m thankful for him for helping make that happen. He’s just an encyclopedia of knowledge. Great interview!
Great video bud. I Collect certain fighters but also do one base set a year not including inserts, just so I make sure I always have all the rookies for that year. Then you have your super collectors like Eric. Lol We have the same opinion on selling though. " if i dont think its cool, who else will" and i think you would be suprised. When you sell on ebay you have to do world wide shipping. UFC is so global that almost every fighter has a fan somewhere in the world.
@TheGoldenOctagon For sure bud. The problem for me is that listing all those cards is super time consuming. I only do it once a year now for 2 weeks and that's it.
Great chat guys, thanks Matt for putting this together. How on earth did Eric fund / finance this over the years? At least in the initial years. Would have liked to hear that question. I understand new UFC products today cost more to buy compared to earlier on, but still money is money. Not sure most people had spare dollars laying around to be buying cases off that bat in 2009 / 2010.
Taking a break from cards while I'm paying expenses for my next basketball season so probably near the end of October so hopefully more ufc cards are released by then
No duplicates. There’s different set that’s come out each year just like panini. Ex. There’s 1/1s for prizm , donruss , and select. All different. Nothing to “confirm”
It’s seems like both companies definitely have missed the mark. But Topps has some incredible cards. And although only 3 years panini has some cool stuff as well.
Panini needs to make UFC specific products like what topps did with knockout. They are getting lazy and just reusing other sports and just putting a UFC label on it. I dont want 100 different variations of the same card and build a 100 card rainbow.@@TheGoldenOctagon
Great episode. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to have this convo!
Thanks for taking the time to listen 🙏🙏
Great conversation Matt! Getting to hear from Eric was awesome!
I wish I had more time. But it was an honor just to get his time for a bit. 🙏

Great interview!
🙏🙏🙏 I’ve gotta save for that Conor he spoke of. 🤣🤣🤣
@@TheGoldenOctagon Haha $200K is crazy. But If you ripped a few less box’s slowly chip away and save for a non-numbered first auto!
Great episode man. This is the top channel where I learn so much about the hobby.
🙏🙏🙏
That dude is sitting on a gold mine damn.
It’s never ending
Great Podcast! I mean just to see Eric’s collection in person must be an treat! Can’t imagine the feeling by owning that grails!
It’s nuts!
This was awesome, great to hear from a fellow set collector, hearing how much base he has maybe he could help me fill in a few holes in my sets.
Just got into collecting UFC cards your channel has helped me alot and this was good to listen to
🙏🙏
Pretty cool Matt. I like the interview format!
I’m just terrible at it. I’ll get better. 🙏🙏
Great interview! I wish it was longer, hopefuly you have him on again sometime.
Same! The hour flew by! 🙏

Thanks Cloudsey. I try to keep that in mind. It’s just hard because I’m a fan of a ton of people. I should really start listing my lesser names

Great video was super dope. By way sent u a few other pics of some hits i have
I got them man, heaters!
I love the idea or just like showing off some of the card I have it's dope
You should really start an IG man. That’s the easiest way. You don’t have to say anything
May be ill have my wife me me one .I haven't had an ig in like 6 years lol
Wish the ufc card hobby was bigger and easier to trade people cuz I got cool cards I don't PC
Great content could have listened to yous talk about cards for hours
🙏🙏🙏
GREAT interview.
Halfway through, did you convince eric to sell uou a sean rookie auto?
😅 I didn’t
Man Eric's collection is crazy, don't think there a post he made on insta where I wasn't like "oh wow I need one of those"
It’s endless! So awesome though!
Awesome episode. 👌
🙏🙏🙏

They definitely will hopefully optic will be out by then.
I would love a video about Eric where he shows his best cards
He’s got them posted on Instagram
9:35 Thats crazy that there are 1/1 duplicates. Is there more info on this topic? Did Panini ever confirm this?

@@TheGoldenOctagon Ah ok. Thanks for clearing things up
LOL whats up eric. I was in the same boat. I stopped collecting UFC after 2016. Even though topps f*cked up alot, still 100x better than panini.

2013 bloodlines mcgregor will be a 10k card some day in the near future
When is the panini ufc contract expected to end?
I think they signed for 5 years in 2020. But a lot of rumors this may be the last year. But at the end of the day we just gotta wait and see.
Bought a huge amount of my cards off him Good guy and has a huge collection outside of MMA also
His knowledge just seemed endless. I wish I had more time. I’ll get him back on one day! 🙏
i follow him on insta and the father def has the best cards !!
I want O’Malley to win but I think aljo is gonna take him down and submit him, this is a huge test for Sean
We’ll find out Saturday! 👊👊👊
Great interview.
