Back when pictures had to be picked up, we had picture books.. I have a few.. They are very comforting, like so many other things that will never return. It's quite sad at times..
I love the harmonies you do on this one. And don't give up hope. All of these special photo printers like HP Photosmart came into existence because people were not content to just watch those digital pictures on the computer; people want to hold their pictures in their hands. And look at the scrapbooking rage!
It's not quite dead yet, Larry. My wife is into scrapbooking and sometimes has her friends over for scrapbooking parties and they sit at the kitchen table until the wee hours and it sounds like a bunch of cackling Hens! But the results are some priceless picture books to pass around! The next time she has a scrapbooking party I'll play this video for them for sure!! Great Job Larry!! Thanks! John
Only you Larry, only you! This is awesome. You're in peak form today. :) Excellent playing, excellent singing, excellent harmony addition, excellent feel...excellent! I agree, nothing like turning the pages of a photo albumn. But I LOVE my new digital camera. heheh.
Great energy and harmonies in this almost-forgotten track, Larry. I live between the old and the new, so I print my favorite digital photos and put them in the picture book ...
Larry...I'm not going to lie and say i don't like computers and technology in certain cases...But, i agree with you...There are things in our culture and lives that are gone for the most part...I still LOVE picking up pictures and have albums...And those things, like picture books, share something with you...Just like looking at a picture, your music makes me smile and feel so glad that i'm there...Your voice is the sweetest and most comforting sound there is.....ione marie
Larry, great cover, just like a picture book has gone the way of digital, the same goes for a vinyl record. Love the harmonies and the strong pristine vocals!
Now we have youtube to put a slideshow of family photos up set to our favorite music to share with random strangers around the world. Makes the world simultaneously smaller and bigger (the distance between us all) at the same time.
Larry, I really love this song and the video you made. It is fantastic!!!! Could you please make another video teaching us to play this 《Picture Book》? I‘ve been searching guitar tutorial of this song for a long time but none is found. Thank you so much!!
Luckily for you there's 23 y/o artists like me who value physicality, craftsmanship, skill, patience, and capturing moments in ways more meaningful than staring at a screen! ;D great cover!
@wowjef Whoa dude...I really think you went a bit far by saying my little talk about the charm of older style picture books is sending 'a negative message to young people'.. People always reminisce about 'the good old days', and they always will. It is not a bad influence on anyone, or a negative thing in any way. Nor was my intro 'morbid'.. I was stating a fact.. People don't have physical photo albums much. I 'dig your drift' but I really think you need to scale it back a bit..
Thank you!! I mean no offense and would be remiss if I didn't point out that you're getting that great running riff slightly incorrect from the original: in the chorus right after the phrase picture book. Otherwise, a great cover!
Ok, all scaled back. Didn't mean to over-dramatise, but we often over-idealise because it was the only past we knew (generates our nostalgia). Young people (I have a teenage daughter) are sensitive to the idea that what went before culturally is always better than now. No offence meant and I 'm certainly not a censor. Keep truckin'. I'll delete the comment.

I treasure my picture books, especially of my son. They would probably be the first thing I would grab on the way out of a burning house.
Fantastic cover! Heard this song from Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Thx for this moment.
Awesome, Rock On Larry....
Wow! sounds and looks professional.
I love you music.
Thanks,

Great song, hope you don't mind, but had to pick up the Gretsch and duet along with you!
