Why does the macroscopic world exist if the quantum world behaves so differently?

"Well, this is a more serious question than you probably realize.”
Nima Arkani-Hamed has some UA-cam lectures where he focuses on this quandary.
This isn't weird “fringe science” stuff - he's a serious physicist and it's all thoroughly motivated.
I don't remember it well enough to summarize it, but if you Google or UA-cam search for his name and “why does the macroscopic world exist” you may find it.
"You can come at this from a more “philosophical” angle as well. What is the macroscopic world?
You can make a pretty good case
    that the_macroscopic_world_is_“our_perceptions.”
Really all that exists is the quantum state of the universe.
The things we call observables actually can't all exist simultaneously.
For example, a quantum system can't have a position and momentum at the same time.
This is deeply built into the nature of the observables.
When an observable exists, it is the eigenvalue of the quantum state, ( • The SECOND Most Import... ) and that state is an eigenvector of the particular observable under consideration. There is no quantum state that is simultaneously an eigenvector of both the position and momentum operators.
"So, anyway the point here is that these observables don't all exist at once. We push them into existence when we measure the things we measure.
This is what is meant when people say that we create the reality around us.
That does NOT mean that we somehow magically will a world into existence. All it means is that we choose what things to measure, and those choices affect the evolution of the quantum states around us."
"So, observed aspects of the macroscopic world are just numbers we compute by nudging the world around. Do those aspects exist?
They certainly don't all the time. They come into existence when we create a need for them to exist by measuring.
So I question whether it's valid to consider those things a fundamental part of reality. Maybe we just should say that the quantum state exists and leave it at that."
