I just cracked my bottle and rewatched this video while I tasted along. I definitely get the chocolate on the nose, like brownie batter. I also get caramel and maybe raspberry. The chocolate and raspberry carry through to the palate and pick up some oak notes. This is the first pour from my bottle so I cannot wait to see if it opens up and gets even better!
Got to sample of this. This could start a bourbon drinker down the road of single malts. I will be curious to see how the regular offering will compare just like the release of the JDSBBP Rye later this year.
My palate likes these sherry/wine finished whiskys for some reason. Like i loved blood oath 6, rabbit hole derri ger, jeffersons prichett hill, and jos magnus stuff. Kinda embarrassing but i guess its my sweet tooth. Do u find that ppl who like sweets go for the finishes more?
Is that bar by Inlet Harbor Liquors worth checking out? How’s the selection and pricing? The only time I’ve been by it was when I was looking for the Oak & Eden pick you did. 🥃
