This was very timely and refreshing. I'm 54 and was diagnosed with NVLD last year after spending a lifetime struggling with life. I had to do all of the work to get to the root of why I was unable to have the quality of life I felt I deserved and that I saw my peers living. I asked my provider for a consult to an LD specialist, and the first time I saw the nuero psychologist explaining myself, he snapped at me that I wasn't autistic when I mentioned NVLD. He ordered a battery of cognitive testing, and it came back that I had almost savant level of language skills but almost disabled at the math level. He acknowledged that I was "borderline on the autism spectrum." he then called me prophetic because I nailed everything that I described. When people ask me what NVLD is, I explain that it's a blend of ADHD like symptoms and autism and that Chris Rock has it to demonstrate that you can be successful with it.
I think that 2 or 3 of my kids may have it too after watching this video.
