Hello Lydia, I'm a dentist and I've been following you for years and years ❤️ and because I care so much about you, I would advise you to see a dentist who is a specialist in surgery, for another opinion on the tooth. Partialy erupted wisdom teeth are a point of infection, no matter how well you take care of him (I'm sure you do ❤️). If it is near the alveolar nerve, you can take a CBCT ou TC exam and have it removed safely. Nowadays, it's not painful or unsafe with the right technique 🙏🏼❤️ I always advise my patients to do it if it's giving infections, it's safer than taking antibiotics over and over again. She's mentioned inflammation in that 3rd molar area before... I reckon it could be PERICORONITIS. 3rd molar area will likely be a nidus of infection as long as she avoids extraction. (Nice to see other dental specialists also watch Lydia).
I’ve had two wisdom teeth taken out in the dentist chair (no surgery) and the relief when they were out was unbelievable. The pain they caused on and off while coming through then when they were partially erupted was awful compared to the 20 min to get them out xxx
I work for oral surgeon’s in the US… you need to remove the tooth. The tooth will ALWAYS be the source of infection and until you remove it, it will continue to get infections which can lead to bone loss and worse.
And you should probably seek a second opinion on the tooth being close to the nerve… it can still be removed. Don’t be afraid just do your homework on the best oral surgeon.

having wisdom teeth removed is extremely common and you don’t need to be afraid. I had mine removed at age 29 after suffering from a similar infection however yours sounds like it’s gone on for a really long time and is unnecessary suffering. Find a serious oral surgeon ASAP. Good luck feel better!
I’ve never heard a dentist say you can’t pull a wisdom tooth. An oral Surgeon can take care of it. I would never allow a regular dentist to do it but an oral surgeon could take care of it.
I understand you wanting to get ahead of the content but there’s something about knowing you’re pre-filming and that the footage is 2 weeks old and some not even in December that doesn’t really feel like a true authentic Vlogmas.

I have not had issues exchanging with Holland Cooper. The only items I have been told are not exchangeable have been my custom order pieces, which makes total sense.
It’s a dig at InTheFrow’s relationship with Holland Cooper. L is jealous because HC creates quality pieces compared to her overpriced/poor quality material Karen Millen junk.
@@nkacinskas or, Lydia has waited a really long time for a piece that should have been delivered a while ago and isn't as impressed as she thought would be? The piece is not from Victoria's collection, is it? Therefore, this has nothing to do with jealousy or rivalry. HC is expensive, if you aren't happy after waiting an extended period of time, realistically what would you say? I doubt it would actually be as fair as in this video, she said she thought it looked lovely but just wasn't practical for her long, cold dog walks.
I wonder what piece you ordered from her Karen Millen collection? I've seen many good reviews, the only really negatives ones from people on UA-cam who seem to have more interest in spreading negative opinions on everything she does than any constructive feedback, and if she changes to pacify the complains (on purpose or just naturally) the complaints change to vilify her new behavior.
I think if the jacket isn't comfortable for walking and cold weather she should just return it regardless of the brand, it didn't seem to fit with her layers and the pockets weren't comfortable looking.

I love Lydia and Ali, but I don’t like the way that Lydia talks to Ali, it sometimes feels like Ali is just one of her “ staff”. He just got home from being away for a week. Why don’t YOU cook your husband a home cooked meal, give him a massage and have wine and relax with him. He’s not there to just serve you Lydia.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at 14. My daughter had all 4 of hers removed last year she had just turned 11. The worst part for her was the cheek swelling because she didn’t like how she looked but a week later it was back to school. I bet the pain you’re having with infections is worse than the removal. You’re strong and can do this. Xx

Couldn’t agree more - I had two impacted wisdom teeth out when I was in my twenties - best thing I ever did - they did nothing but cause me pain and infection for 4 years - you should have it out
I agree but after this emergency treatment she is much less likely. It is shameful she was allowed to leave in that state and she's probably lucky she didn't have it done there. I hope she will research a good oral surgeon!! All mine are removed and it will help her headaches and jaw issues. But I have also had a tooth removed by an emergency treatment and not a wisdom tooth but do have nerve damage. I hope she will find a good surgeon.
absolutely. leaving them in can be so bad and cause so many problems. my wisdom teeth were very close to my nerves and they got them out with no problems

Oh Lydia!! Tooth pain is the worst! If you’re able, I’d encourage you to get it scheduled to have that tooth removed as soon as is convenient. It isn’t fun, but definitely not terrible. I had two removed a couple years back and it wasn’t horrible. I know how hard that must be to schedule though with campaigns, meetings, vlogging, etc. But I hate seeing you in pain!! ❤️
They don’t really like taking them out anymore, they prefer to treat them and try to leave them in unless they’re impacted or causing severe repeat problems etc. it’s horrible I have the exact same tooth problem as Lydia!
I had emergency all 4 pulled out. I don't recommend that but you REALLY need to find the best surgeon and get it out. Everything you mentioned right now sounds like me but it gets worst. You won't even think it's the tooth doing it. I started have headaches on a regular basis. I even had vision disruption, and even sore throat. Doctor after doctor diagnosed me for stress. Eye doctor, stress, regular doctor stress. One day I couldn't lift my head from my pillow. That was it. The pain was sooooo bad. Get it out, speaking from experience. Good luck. I'll say a prayer for you.

TMI but I think the tennis ball thing is because it simulates how they would chew tendon/muscle off of a bone etc. Loads of dogs do it. My lab loves that sort of thing. Also, hands down Porter is the cutest sausage dog on the internet.❤

Hi Lydia. I had one wisdom tooth removed by the dentist and another removed at hospital under anaesthesia because it was tight and close to nerve both okay but must admit preferred being awake.
Best tip is to keep your eyes closed no matter what, then you don’t worry or panic.
Wierd. In Norway we extract the wisdomteeth if there is a problem with it. I have removed all 4, before I was 25. 😬 Even a small problem and its out!
In NZ we do too, they are meant to be removed

Lydia.... I bought my whole family spotlight oral care products for Christmas because of your recommendation haha. I just finished my first whitening strip session and they are the nicest strips I have ever used, the grip amount on them makes them so easy to wear for the full hour, and the tooth brush is a life changer and my teeth have never felt cleaner at home. So this is a long winded way of saying thank you for being paid to promote them, but more importantly being genuinely passionate about their products and sharing that passion with us.

Needle and thread dress is gorgeous… you could’ve made it work by wearing a belt a similar colour to the dress, creating your own waistline.
I had a dreadful tooth infection and empathise. I discovered a mouth wash with tea tree oil called Sarakan which I swear by. The slightest twinge and I use this mouthwash (available in health food shops, possibly in Boots too). I've never had an infection since.
You’re experiencing more trauma delaying that tooth coming out than would if you do it quickly. The recovery is slower too. Food for thought. Love your videos Lydia and sorry you’re in so much distress with your mouth. Wisdom teeth issues are awful.

Just to let you know, there are fireside toasting forks available, we use them in Canada, ours are about 31/2 feet long so you can safely toast away.. Very fun ❤
Remove the tooth. People don’t take mouth health seriously, but similar to what you experienced, bad teeth can lead to infections, which get into your blood stream, which can actually kill you.
It's not a bad tooth, it's inflammation of the gum surrounding the tooth ( periodontitis). It's caused by the tooth being partially erupted, so there tends to be a tiny flap of gum that traps food etc causing the gum to become infected. The only true solution is extraction but if the tooth is fine and you're okay taking antibiotics every time it flares up then you don't necessarily need to have the tooth extracted.
Lydia heads up on the antibiotics. You might want to ask your doctor for a prescription to help with yeast infection-which can develop after a long period on antibiotics. Feel better-
Probiotics can help with that x
She is taking painkillers and antibiotics with alcohol. Do you really think she cares?

Regarding tooth pain, it could be because you have too many teeth for the size of your jaw. I had bad pain for years until I saw a dental surgeon (not a dentist) and I had 4 wisdom teeth and 4 incisors removed (2 at a time). Originally I had 32 teeth. I had to wear braces for 2 years, but it was well worth it.

Is it not as common in the UK to have wisdom teeth removed? In the US everyone gets x-rays when we're in our teens and if things are very jammed together almost everyone gets them out. Recovery ranges. Some people bounce back really fast and some people like me stay swollen for a week or two. I got all 4 out at once. Hope it gets easier! I'd be nervous about reoccurring infections that close to my brain. You could get sepsis with that much spread of infection. Hugs!!
Yeah I think because our healthcare is free in the UK, so we only need to pay a little extra for dental appointments because appointments are heavily subsidised by the NHS so it’s not much money. Children, students, pregnant women and people on welfare or long term medical conditions have completely free dental appointments, so dentists don’t recommend taking out teeth unless it’s really necessary. If you do go to a totally private dental clinic, which some people do, the dentist will happily suggest it as you have to pay for it 😂.
In the UK teeth are only removed if there are problems with them. Some people can live their whole lives with all 32 teeth, some never get their wisdom teeth at all ( my husband doesn't have his through and he's 52)

Lydia, PLEASE think of seeing another surgeon about your wisdom teeth after the holidays. I had mine out(also near a nerve) and waited too long - but it was fine! Getting your wisdom teeth out now is much easier than it used to be and it is much better than dealing with infections that can really be dangerous. Your back teeth are much too near things like your brain to mess around. Please, you won't let us down. Do whatever is best and healthy for you! Happy Christmas & All the Best!

U have to try oil pulling, use coconut oil to wash ur gums for 15 min x2 to 3 times a day. I swear this oil pulling method saved me from over dosing pain killer because of the severe tooth and gum infection a couple years back.

Oh my god you poor thing!! There is nothing worse than toothache! I had an issue with 1 of my teeth over the summer that went on for over 6 months so i completely sympathise. Right! I don't know too many dentists that will allow a wisdom tooth to stay even if it's causing no pain. My husband had his wisdom tooth with basically a nerve wrapped around each other and the dentist was like it has to come out or it's going to get worse. We're in the states so it could be different but I actually need to get my wisdom teeth out because im uncomfortable. I couldn't imagine that type of pain.
Yah I put it off through 13 infections haha and finally gave up and removed them and never regretted it. I have a world class dentist now. He told me I was stupid to wait to so long. He explained that the repeated infections did more damage than any potential nerve damage from removing. ALSO great video Lydia 🎄🎄
Hi Lydia, corsodyl mouth wash is really good to keep infections at bay , mine cleared completely. Also oil pulling is really good and using a miswaak x

I did end up having the wisdom tooth out. I am so glad I did. I’ve not had any problem since. There’s nothing worse that constantly pumping your body with drugs. 👍🥰
I’m not sure if you or Ali read all of your comments, but I am a registered dental hygienist and you need to make an appointment with an oral surgeon as soon as possible regarding your third molar(s) (wisdom teeth) to determine the need for extraction(s). The oral surgeon will take a panorex x-ray to evaluate your third molars and determine a treatment plan. It’s not safe to leave a long term infection treated by antibiotics, when the problem can be corrected swiftly by visiting an oral surgeon. Pericorinitis is inflammation of the gum tissue surrounding the wisdom tooth and it’s quite painful. I hope you seek further treatment and feel better soon.

Hi Lydia. Your wisdom tooth will ALWAYS be the source of infection, just because you are not in any pain now, does not necessarily mean you are free from infection, the infection can lie dormant, because of the treatment the emergency dentist did, he treated your acute symptoms, yet the infection is more than likely still there but dormant and it will return again in the future sometime. Remember emergency dentists only treat acute symptoms.
He/ she should have suggested for you to go to your regular dentist, have a new assessment of the tooth and surrounding bone. and teeth adjacent to your wisdom tooth. Ask to be referred to an oral surgeon. Have it properly assessed with the intention of removing the wisdom tooth. If the infection spread to your ear and was migrating to your eye, it sounds like the infection was becoming more developed, and until you remove the tooth, it will continue to have recurrent infections which can lead to bone loss and worse. Remember Oral surgeons remove wisdom teeth every day. There are many great oral surgeons in London and surrounding areas. Pericoronitis is very painful, so happy you are on the mend now, however, please consult with your normal dentist, to be referred to an oral surgeon. Until the tooth is removed, make sure the area is constantly cleaned and free from food particles.
By the way, I am a dental therapist, working with an Oral surgeon in Norway, but I am from London.

I’m surprised a dentist would tell you not to have it taken out. It may be different in the UK however I had mine taken out (all 4) this July and the nerves are detached and then heal with the tooth removal. Just be careful because it can spread and push your other tooth out of sorts… But BABE that skirt!!! Gorgeous!Xoxo

Hi, Lydia! Just stopped the video on the 10th minute to tell, that OMG I had my wisdom tooth removed on Thursday last week (the tooth was inside, so havent grown out yet). The removing went so smoothly and I did not feel anything. But OMG what was then and is still till today is just horrible. Pain, swollen half of the face, stuffed nose and terrible headache. I did not expect that) I normally tolerate pain quite well, but not this time.
I am also on antibiotics and ibuprofen, so I can relate) Have a nice week 🥰

I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out about 10 years ago. I promise it’s not too bad to recover from and I felt so much better after. My jaw felt tight and I had a bit of pain when I had them in. My back teeth were being squished in, if that makes sense. I also got my braces in after I took them out and my teeth are still incredibly straight. I bet my teeth would have shifted if I kept all wisdom teeth in. Take care of yourself!

Oh gosh you poor thing and the wisdom tooth! My husband had a partially ruptured one and it would go up and down in his gum and it would give him an infection each time! He eventually had it out (because I nagged him so much to get it done haha!).

Aw bless you Lydia. Wisdom teeth are so painful and just so you know you don’t have a low pain threshold, I had neurosurgery and a wisdom tooth removal this year and the wisdom tooth was 10000x more painful and I agree they don’t tell you how painful it is 😵 but it was definitely worth getting it removed and they can properly see where the nerve is so how likely it is to be damaged. My nerve was quite far away from my tooth so was absolutely fine. Definitely look into it, you don’t wanna be dealing with infections forever, sounds horrendous! X

Lydia, just a dog mom tip: I’ve recently learned that normal tennis balls are not good for dogs to play with because they contain metal strings in the green/yellow outer layer. And those metal parts hurt their teeth. I don’t know what type of ball Porter play with, but it is just a tip to use tennis balls that are especially made for dogs.
